My granddaughter had the sagittal form of craniosynostosis and had the surgery to correct it before she was six months old. The shape of her skull was a bit off and somewhat longer from her forehead to the back of her head on a side profile. We opted for the incision to be from her the front hairline to the base of her skull in the back, as opposed to the zig zagged incision from ear to ear. She was only in the hospital for two days and we were told to give her Tylenol for the pain. When her hair grew in it completely covered her scar and you cannot even see that there was ever an abnormality. When she was two years old I started seeing definite signs of autism and I've always wondered if there's a connection between the craniosynostosis and her autism.
How is she now
I was born with the im 44 years old now I have a dent in the side of my head I get headaches and now how Trigeminal Neralga but I live my life the best I can.
I was born in 74 this conditions was un heard of any many kids went undiganosed until adult hood.

A premature baby is born without a soft spot at 8 months. Is this a symptom of croniosynostosis?

I knew that my skull fused together too early as a baby, but I never knew it was actually a known thing.
Are there any serious things that come with Craniosynostosis?
Ik that blindness, Seizures and Brain damage are ones but are there other serious things?
I'm only 14 and I never knew this was a known medical thing. I don't even think I was checked for a doctor about this when I was a baby. Maybe I was, but maybe it wasn't too much in depth. My mom has told me, but she hasn't told me anything serious about it so idk.
Do you have any symptoms now? Headache , eye problems or whatever?
I'm like you. My forehead comes out and is round but I never received any type of special care.
Let me tell you...life had been miserable with this deformity

I was born with it and im 15 years old, i did surgery and all that, but i cant stand the scar ive got. Is it possible to remove a scar so it can grow hair on it?

You can't remove scars they are the result of your skin healing.
