Awesome video of my home state hunting!!! NY doesn’t have giants around every corner but they do live here! Congrats on an awesome buck and I definitely know the struggle of bowhunting NY and eating tag soup.
What a stud!! So glad to see that all the hard work you’ve put in over the last couple years has paid off. I’m a fellow New Yorker as well. I love this state and I’m blessed to have harvested some giants myself and had buddies who harvest giants. I think NY is underrated for how good the deer hunting is here. I too hunt a lot of public land, you never know, we may see each other in the woods sometime. Good luck!
Truly hard earned buck Jon. I don’t think many people understand how hard it is to kill a buck of that caliber on public ground in NY with a bow. Throughout the video you mentioned that buck had been showing up at that spot pretty often. Just curious how often you mean, seems like getting pictures of a mature buck in the same spot in New York just doesn’t happen often. A couple pics a month is probably the norm.
I've seen a lot of things in the tree, I've seen a lot of things in videos of people in trees, never seen smoked oysters in a saddle. Here's to new experiences. 😂

NY is a tough state to hunt especially on public land but if you do the work you can kill some absolute hammer bucks. NY doesn’t get the credit it deserves

You can hardly ever be mad at your camera man for getting you busted when you call His attention to a spot you want him to film. 2 people equals twice the movement, twice the noise and twice the scent. I get it, filming is a different game when solo, but you have to wonder could you have killed on encounter 1 if you were alone?

My mother-in-law has 83 ac in Steuben Co. NY.
(Bath NY) 33 AC has not been hunted in 60+ years. She told me she would allow me to bow hunt it.
