Hi Julian, all the issues you have with your car are part of the Morgan owning experience, you either get it or you don’t. In time to come, when you discuss cars with other people, I’m sure they will want to know all about your Morgan’s you once owned. For me, going back over 50 years to Peter Morgan days, The Trouble Shooter in 1990, the 10 year waiting list, friend now deceased owning Plus 8s & Sir Harvey Jones, investigation at The Morgan Motor Company Factory at Pickersleigh Road. Enjoy ever moment in your very special Plus 6 😅
This is my second Morgan. The first was a disaster and the issues were beyond ‘the Morgan experience’ when considering I parted with 85k. Expectations are higher from consumers now, so either a car is sold as an evolving thing with a lifetime of tweaks and adjustments or they are going to loose an already dying target market. Loving the Plus Six, so I’m a happy chappy.
Just some tweaks on the fitting and I have a slight leak in the hard top where the window is fitted. Normal hand built adjustments and prob just some sealant glue application needed.
@@julian_theviews personality is one way of describing it 😀 it’s a 4, 2014. Your six must be scary!! I had a 335i which was pretty fast, can’t imagine that power in something so light. Btw, nice looking Porsche. I also have a 993 👌
The Six is outrageously quick. It gets away quicker than my 911, albeit less smoothly. The CX platform is so much better than the last, so the handling is now much more aligned with the power.
@@julian_theviews No doubt I'll be tempted to upgrade but I've only had mine a few weeks, and I actually really like that it's like stepping back in time. Malvern is a 5 hour round trip for me so it's getting serviced at Bellsport in Hertfordshire next week. Looking to join a club, might see you at a meet sometime. Enjoy your beauty.
Morgan design a car to look like that, then slap a hideous looking Lotus Elise style steering wheel, and a ghastly BMW gear lever ... I just think Morgan are bing super lazy! What's next, a sound system from a Nissan Micra!
I agree and disagree. Yes the BMW gear lever doesn’t ‘fit’ with the style of the car, and the steering wheel with an airbag has to be to a certain spec; therefore no options on something prettier. Yet…… I can’t think I’ve noticed either in a negative sense since owning the car. The wheel feels great in the hands and I don’t tend to look at it as there are no buttons to be pressing. The gear lever is ‘fine’; like the gearbox, it’s no PDK, yet it’ll do. Up to last year Aston Martin were in a similar position with Mercedes…which is why I have a 911 and not a DB11.

Thanks for the video. What are the issues with your PlusSix that need fixing?

I was sat on that very same sofa last week 😀great coffee there. Plus 4 owner here 👍
It’s a lovely place to sit. Plus 4 or Four? I’ve never driven the old platform. I’ve heard it has some ‘personality’ 😆

Ah, I have an Austin Healy Sprite for full nostalgia. I must get around to joining the owners club 🙄
