  • This is not meant to be a tutorial but there is, scattered amongst my rambling, information about using a Raspberry Pi to track atmospheric changes. Also I cover the topic of digital oscilloscopes and display terrible carpentry.
    If you want to buy a Raspberry Pi (for around $40) and the temperature measurement tool (for about $15), go to Adafruit.com and look for the BME 280.
    If you want a Hantek oscilloscope, you can find one on Amazon for about $70. Be aware that their software is made for Windows only so you'll need to go on a web search to find an app that works for a different device. Github is a good place to start.

    My favorite place where the technical meets the creative. Your narrations are always so soothing and kind. I wish you read your own book out loud some day, it'd be enjoyable and meditative! I am placing my phone next to my ear on my pillow, and listening to this as I drift off.

      @@tiadiad This really makes my day.😊😊😊 In truth, the actual content of the video means less to me than the fact that I've made a connection with someone and brought a little light to the world. Thank you.
      I should probably have said this before, but I do actually have a separate UA-cam channel in which I read my books aloud. I've only started recently and I'm doing it in small chapters, but it's called BartmessWrote. Maybe that will tide you over until I do a full audio book.

    Most of this stuff goes over my head but I have a keen interest and the utmost respect for people that create, invent and are just curious about things, wonderful work and video Patrick, very well done 👏👏👏👏

      @@trevorhansbury This is high praise, Trevor. I did worry that the subject wouldn't interest many people, so I'm very pleased that you enjoyed the video regardless.

    I really need an oscilloscope. I have a Pi or two and a leftover screen.
    Great fun to see you in action Patrick. Did I hear that bass in the background?

      @pbartmess  Місяць тому

      @@loopinnerthe 😊Yes, that was me on bass! For the price, the Hantek/Pi combo is hard to beat. It's pretty basic and the screen resolution isn't great but it suits my needs. Old eyes need big screens.🤓
