Great video and loved the music. You looked like you had a blast. Inspired me to sign up for a RunDisney event this year. I watch RunDisney videos while running on the treadmill makes it much more bearable. Thank you for sharing.
Doug Williams We watch running videos as well during training.....they are very motivating after you get tired if listening to music. Good luck with your training and hope you stay injury free! We're working on a video for the Avengers Super Heros Half Marathon this year. It's lots of fun to relive the memories as we edit the video!
Just came across your video. Fantastic job on completing The Dopey Challenge! And superb job on the video. It's really one of the best I've seen. I ran the marathon that year and I was dying because of the humidity and nursing a calf muscle I injured 3 weeks earlier. I'm doing the marathon again this year (my 8th time) and will be there for Dopey 2020.
Thanks for the kind words...we appreciate it very much! We are currently in training for Dopey 2019 so keep an eye out and wave if you see us. We're trying out a new camera this year and plan do a test run at Rock 'n Roll Las Vegas this year so we can get our video skills practiced up. To answer your question on the music before the 5K, you are correct - Tapestry of Nations.
Just returned to the UK having run the Dopey challenge. I've watched your video quite a few times, its totally inspirational. Many thanks for keeping me going!
gotta love all those early mornings hey? I experienced that this year with Princess doing 3 races, and I had a 3 hours time change... I am heading to Disneyland Paris in Sept for those races.... did Tinkerbell 3 races this year too.
This was so much fun to watch! Respect for doing the Dopey Challenge. I am doing my first half marathon this september in Paris, I hope it will be as much fun as the American races :)
Thanks so much for posting these videos! Great for motivation on days when I don't really want to get out to run... Haha :P If you don't mind my asking, how fast (or not) do the character lines seem to move? Thanks!
Thanks for the comment! Character lines are interesting. They can be long, especially in the beginning. We have noticed the lines getting shorter towards the end of the race.....people don't want to stop for a picture when they're about done. When we were editing this video, we noticed we passed right by a princess at the end of the marathon....she didn't have a line and was just hanging out. We don't stop for any long lines, but we try to make as many as we can unless we already have a picture with them. We typically start in the first 1/3 of the corals running a 9:30 pace when running (not including stops). Not sure what's happening towards the back of the pack. Have fun training!
Hi Brett and Julie, I just wanted to say it was great meeting you two during the Marathon weekend this past weekend. My son (Noah) and I had a wonderful time at the 10k and I certainly enjoyed the marathon (although it was brutally hot). Hopefully you were able to finish at your goal times for the marathon in spite of the Florida heat. Congratulations on another Dopey Challenge done! I enjoyed speaking with you both and I look forward to yet another great video recap!
It was great to meet you as well - we had a blast running Dopey again! What a great thing for you and your son to do together. We finished the marathon with a respectable time considering the fact Julie was running around capturing the memories. We've been working on the video since we got back - got one shot of you and your son in the 10K corrals.
Barry Smith Unfortunately, we won't, we need to "pace" ourselves with all these great races! We will be living vicariously through everyone else this year...we are coping by working on our Avengers video from November this weekend.
I understand! As a former Big Skyer who occasionally comes back to run, I'll introduce myself to you guys if we cross paths at some Disney race or elsewhere.
what a great way to be a couple. thank you for making these videos. they are very helpful to us newbies. I am training for the Dr. Strange 10k right now. I have never done one before so it is helpful to have reference material. :)
+RUNDISNEYWARRIOR YES we did....to the T except we used the mileage for a running distance instead of using the run/walk method. Also, for the 45 minute weekday runs, we just ran 4 miles. Only trained 3 days a week except for the back to back runs on the weekends. We did the run just for fun, so didn't focus on time and did the video instead. It felt good to be ready for the race so we could focus on the fun.
Hi, please enable this video to all plataforms. I wanna watch on my cellphone. Change configurations. Go to video manager, go to edit, on monetization and click everywhere (make this video available on all platforms)
Hello - unfortunately, because we use copyrighted music in our videos, the publishers claim all monetization rights - they have the ability to block the video in certain countries or devices where they can't play their ads for whatever reason. We can't even change that setting. I have a long ways to go before I can make my own music :-)
carlos junior personal show The still photos are from MarathonPhoto. Since this race, Disney Photopass has taken over the race photography. The race pictures are now part of Memory Maker, which we plan to purchase at our next Disney race.
I love your videos, you do a great job with the footage, editing and music. I will be running the Dopey in a couple of weeks and hope to have as much fun as you two did!

Kevin So Thanks! We're looking forward to our next happy run...wine and dine this year. Happy running!

Did you follow the Jeff galloway plan as posted on Rundisney?

Thank you for this video. It has helped motivate me on many days when I didn't want to get out and train.
Michael Leslie Thanks for dropping a comment! Good luck with your training and hope you stay uninjurred!
Do you have professional Disney photographers during races? Can I put it in my memory maker ??
carlos junior personal show The still photos are from MarathonPhoto. Since this race, Disney Photopass has taken over the race photography. The race pictures are now part of Memory Maker, which we plan to purchase at our next Disney race.

We found them at onemoremile.net. At one time, they were making race specific appearl. Not sure if they sell those shirts any more though.
