Was in singapore 10 years back with my mom and grandma and we bumped into chef wan at our hotel lobby. Both my mom and grandma were being real fan girls and were having a chat with him. He was absolutely kind and made time to chit chat and even sat down for a conversation asking them how they were. He's such a genuine person and actually truly cares about the people he's speaks with. Will never forget that moment

My dad shared the same upbringing like him. Anak sulung yg membesar dgn cara yg susah. Sekolah, jual kuih then balik kena masak utk adik2 nya. N because of that, I was taught the hard way to grow. Even though my dad made it, he didn't pampered me with money. I started early caused my dad used to say "u nk duit, u pergi kerja. I don't work n earn only for u"..N that motivate me to keep going without knowing the meaning of failure....
Im still amaze with the 80 s and 90 s chef...they cook with passion and they got the character....u watch them for an hour without getting tired
