Flowmaster has a low rumble that's not overbearing. Quiet on a city street. But louder on a highway. If you want to hear more sound. Crack open the third slide window. That's what I do with my Flowmaster. It also doesn't grab the attention of the police if you don't want to and quietly sneak away.
I think that's the perfect compromise. The original 40 series gets annoying when towing. It's cool for about the first 5 mins, but after about an hour you wish you were anywhere else. I hope Holley sends y'all more stuff to check out.
@@kskip4242 you are correct about the FlowFX being different than a Magnaflow. The FlowFX mufflers use single stage packing that is most likely fiberglass and the Magnaflows use multi stage packing with steel mesh and what is most likely rock whool or something similar. With that being said, the Signature Series might be different from the FlowFX and be a legit Magnaflow knockoff with multi stage packing. The whole point of the Signature Series is for it to be a very durable system made out of 304 stainless, so it would make sense for them to also use the more durable multi stage packing rather than the single stage that blows out in a year. Also, I’m not a fanboy of Flowmaster or Magnaflow. Just thought the topic was interesting and wanted to share my thoughts
@@kskip4242 those have a sweet sound. I try all kinds of different mufflers and essentially just stay away from the generic Flowmaster style chambered mufflers and straight through mufflers like the one in this video. There are too many people running Flowmasters and Magnaflows or knockoffs of them. And the magnaflow oval mufflers are too quiet.
all that muffler is is just a vibrant ultra quiet or a magnaflow street series idk why flowmaster thought this was just so amazing, the packing if anything probably makes it more quiet and less likely to blow out as fiberglass eventually will deteriorate
How is this bad to you? It's deep tone, growl, not raspy at all..... OH I get it - you prefer the clappy rasp trash can sound. I'm not a Flowmaster fan either - I've used Borla, Magnaflow, Widow Maker, a bunch of them - but this is a great system / sound better than stock but not piss your neighbors off sound.
To quiet for my taste. Having a borla s type put on my power wagon on Tuesday. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life" John 3:16
Contrary to their name, Flowmasters don't master flow. The sound they produce is due to hindering exhaust flow so the pulses bang around inside the muffler. Dollar for dollar, Dynomaxes outflow Flowmasters every time.
its clean but quiet. barely over stock.
The orginal 40 with the 6 inch tips would sound better I think

Sounds deep and clean...adjust those tips a little better though
Not used to hearing a tame 5.7.....wheres the burble 🤷🏾♂️
Nice mellow sounding system perfect if they ever decide to do headers
Good sound for a street crawler daily driver truck.
Sounds really deep when taking off which is really nice 💪
Sounds quieter, but deep.
I'd like to hear it side by side with a magnapack.
Nice install! 🤘🏻🔨😎 Sounds nice. I would keep the five inch tips.
How much does it cost
Sounds good
Nothing wrong with that!
Not a Flowmaster fan. Had it in my HEMI but after a couple weeks had it cut off.
But that set up does not sound bad.
And no 6 inch tips. 🤢
Sounds weak I wouldn't wast my money on that
Do they make make it for the Durango?
just cut the muffler off and keep the rear reso if that is too much throw 2 straight through resos in place of the muffler
So basically a cheap FlowFX muffler but with better stainless steel
Need link to old 6" tips please
That's a flowmaster stamped magnaflow. A good performing muffler but not the answer for sound unless the vehicle is heavily modded
No, it's a flowmaster flow fx muffler. Made totally different on the inside than a magnaflow.
@kskip4242 no not really. It's a stainless mesh packed perforated tube muffler. Dude they're a dime a dozen

@@Lnegg I use moroso spiral flows on all of my vehicles.

Very good job
Need louder mufflers when the engine starts to tick lol
I have almost the exact truck. I know what exhaust system I won't be putting on it. Not much different than stock.
This Flowmaster exhaust system is only to replace the original factory one with greater durability and quality.
5 inch tips look much better and cleaner! Man, that's a perfect, nice deep growl and not just loud noise!!! Clean!!!! 🏁🏁🏁🏁

The muffler looked more like a resonator with the little perforation. I'd buy the system without the muffler and supply my own.
Way too quiet. And FYI bolt ons give marginal performance gains unless you do big modifications like cam or forced air with tune.
Pre-made systems always suck imo.
It's essentially a magnaflow style muffler. I'm disappointed
No, flowmaster flow fx. The packing is totally different.
This dude says he likes everything just admit it's too quiet it's okay😂 I'm sure it will get a little bit louder eventually
Sounds a lil too quiet for me it'll stick with my dualed out super 40
The Flowcrapster sound.

Flowmaster is shit.
Too quite
Sounds worse then their crudy FlowFX muffler
