about me: 29-yo, born in France 🇫🇷 raised by Portuguese immigrants parents 👨👩👧👧🇵🇹 I never had the chance to travel when I was younger so, as soon as I managed to save up some money, I took off 🛫 At 19yo, I moved to live for a year in Athens, Greece 🇬🇷 At 22, I moved for an internship in Miami, USA 🇺🇸 before getting another opportunity to work and study in Montreal, Canada 🇨🇦 At 24, I did my last master degree semester as an exchanged student in São Paulo, Brazil 🇧🇷 Fell in love with the country, got a job, and been based in Rio de Janeiro ever since. After some personal health issues, I realized life is too short not to explore the world more… I’ve always loved documenting my days (journaling, scrapbooking) and knowing the next months would be full of travels, I thought, why not vlog it? I’m sure future-me will be very happy to look back at these videos! Hope you do too ☺️

Thank you so much for watching and commenting!! 🥺❤️
Good to know that you're interested in traveler's factory... because it will appear many times again in the upcoming vlogs 🫣😂
can't wait to see more 😁@@storiesofmilo
Hello, Milo-San. The ramen looked delicious. And I also stamped lots of station stamps. Please let us know your impressions of the Shinkansen. thank you very much.🍜🚄
Hello Cazmic Rune-San 🙇🏻♀️ it was delicious indeed 🥰 We have to make a train stamps community!! 🤣❤️ I will show my whole trip in the Shinkansen in the next vlog… Spoiler: I loved it! I loved watching all the landscapes 🥹
omg I can easily see myself collecting these stamps too 😆! Excited for the kyoto vlog! 🍙🌟
Please do, it's so much fun!! 🥺❤️
Coming this week - kyoto vlog! Thanks for being around ☺️❤️
I will be traveling to Japan solo from 12-5-24 until 7-6-24
Such awesome dates!! You will have great weather ☺️
こんにちは!I'm a Japanese living in Yokohama. I am glad you have come to Yokohama. This vlog was very interesting and fun! Next time you should visit the Minato Mirai area. It is a very nice place to stroll around! And there are also several stationery stores around Yokohama station.
Please come to Japan again😊
こんにちは ! ❤️ I wish I would have had more time to explore Yokohama 🥺 It seemed like a great city! I hope to visit again in the future and spend more time there ☺️
Omg i love the stamps!!! (* Stamps in Japanese *) 😂😂😂
lmaoooo stamps in japanese indeed!! 😂 ❤️
I am a Japanese🇯🇵, so that I could understand which city you are moving from Yokohama by seeing your train ticket😆. As I see your video, I have never notice and recognize there was such a station stamp culture in Japan, which may attract you. Anyway, I cannot wait next video😂😂😂.
私のチャンネルへようこそ!☺️ Haha yes, I left many hints... 🫣
Indeed, it's so funny as something extraordinary for tourists can be so common for locals 😂
I'm already working on the next video, hope to see you again when I post it in a few days ☺️❤️
Yokohama so underrated
Agree! I wish I had spent more time there! Next time..! ☺️
Love your Japan vlogs! Super relaxing and you’re giving me inspiration for when I go in October!
You're too kind! 🥺❤️ Ooooh, October will be such a lovely season to visit! 🍂🍂
Thanks for passing by - hope to see you around again ☺️
@@storiesofmilo Yes I hope so! I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’ll be a relatively quiet time to visit. Not that I’m expecting it to ever be super quiet of course 😂 Looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip on here 😌😊
To be honest, it will probably be busy 🥺 Japan tourism is SOOOO well-developed, even locally: you will often see a lot of Japanese tourists themselves visiting other prefectures! I recommend to do like I did: just accept it 😂 and build strategies to optimize the experience! For example, getting up super early to see very touristic places (the shrines open with the sunrise so it's very feasible!) - you will have a blast no matter what!! ☺️
@@storiesofmilo Getting up super early is a great idea, I was going to do that to take advantage of the inevitable jet lag on the first couple of days, and hopefully get some good photos in the process! Are you hoping to go back to Japan sometime?
For real!! And also, it's super fair to plan mid-day nap 😂
Yessss I will go back for sure 🥺 This first trip was mostly to get a feel of the place... Now I know I want to explore more and more of the countryside specifically!
Oh Milo love seeing the older gentleman after you doing their own little stamp rally honestly the stamp collecting culture in Japan is amazing and can’t wait to embark myself in the same hunt adventure. Who knows maybe make it a goal to stamp at every prefecture jkjkjk just a wild idea of mine 👀😅
Wasn't this the cutest?? 🥺 And Japanese too!! It's not just us tourists who are on the hunt for stamps 😂
Buy yourself a notebook with THICK pages - I did that mistake, mine had thin pages so I had to "skip pages" to make sure one page wouldn't ruin the other... 😅
@@storiesofmilo yes I can see why it’s such a cool thing to do no matter if you are a tourist or local everyone seems to enjoy it. Also such a cool thing to do since you can visit all the prefectures with the excuse of catching all the stamps. And yeah I already bought one from Amazon’s none-line or doted and the pages seems pretty thick so I hope it doesn’t cross over.
Definitely!! I have to admit that sometimes I would plan my itineraries to get off/get on at DIFFERENT metro stations in Tokyo or Kyoto just to get the chance to get a new stamp from a new station... 😂 The gamification is real haha
@@storiesofmilo huh don’t give me ideas!!! My itinerary is already full packed for 3 weeks in November I can’t keep adding more ideas to it 😅😅👀 but definitely a fun way to explore more areas
No other country is better for solo female travelers than Japan. Wherever you go in Japan, it's clean and safe and the people are kind and polite. There is always tension and vigilance in countries other than Japan.😟
I did feel super safe all the time indeed! ☺️ I feel like Japan/Korea have this vibe... I can't say the same about other countries I visited 😂
Japanese people think of ramen as noodles, while foreigners think of it as soup. Therefore, Japanese people eat noodles first, while foreigners drink soup first. ···I think.
Isn't it noodle soup? 😂
I usually eat the noodles and leave the broth 🫣 I know, shocking...
Thanks for coming by again!! ☺️❤️
Wow!😳
Did you stay in Yotsuya?
My house is within two minutes from the station on foot.
We might have passed by each other, huh? 😆
I was nearby Yotsuya/Shinjuku yes!! ☺️
Maybe we did yes! That would be fun haha
I hope you can spent a comfortable time in this town.😅
I'm really looking forward to watching your movies!
You’re too kind!! 🥹 The next videos will be in Kyoto - hope you’ll be there 🥰
Thank you for your compliments. ☺️
Kyoto is a charming city.
I hope you enjoy your stay there!
I hope I’ll be there too!!!💓😀
バッチグー!
本当にありがとう、私はまだ勉強中です! ❤️
Hello! I will visit Tokyo soon, and I want to collect stamps! Do you have any tips on how to spot the stamp areas in the train stations more easily? I know the train stations can be a maze. 😵💫
hey there ☺️ so, they are usually not hard to find! they are usually right by the turnstiles and/or where you buy a ticket! there's a sign + people stamping. On the rare occasions I couldn't find it, I would go to the info desk (where there's someone) and say "sumimasen...eki stampu kudasai?" (excuse me... the train stamp please?) = that's grammatically incorrect haha but they all got the message!
And one time I couldn't find, the guy got the ink + stamps from HIS desk... so, yes, sometimes (rare) there's not even a stamp "station", you have to ask the staff for it!
Still, they made it super easy!! ☺️ Highly recommend, it's so fun! Small tip: get a notebook with THICK pages - mine was too thin, i had to skip pages 🥺
how long were you in japan?
for 2 weeks! ☺️
@@storiesofmilo nice! japan is on my bucketlist.
i hope my vlogs can help you build an itinerary for it!! ☺️
Are you going to Kyoto ?
Yes!!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
@@storiesofmilowow kyoto have all.... culture like shrine, go to kiyomizudera, sanenzaka there is unique starbuck, gion find the maiko wearing kimono.
Try food at pontocho, nishiki market. You will love the old town ambiance ❤
