Oh the nostalgia. Growing up, I watched my dad play a lot of EA Nascar games and this one was the most memorable because I remember the music. I was a small kid. When I was 12 this was my first Nascar game I ever got, and its a classic. However the controls are a little odd. Swaping cars, the teammates cars are harder to control
When I was younger my cousin had a PS2 at his house. He had a few games and one of them was a NASCAR game. I remember we’d always go upstairs and play on his PS2 whenever we’d go over to my cousins’ house. So many memories playing on their PS2 when I was a kid; I never had any video games when I was a kid so his PS2 was my first introduction to them. I don’t remember specifically which game it was, but I suspect it had to have been ‘07. The intro to The Diary of Jane sounds just so vaguely familiar and seeing the menu screen here for ‘07 with the guy in the yellow jacket, that looks familiar too. So I guess it had to have been NASCAR 07. Good times. I miss being young

This game is actually damn good. It has all the cool aspects of 05 (minus Jeff Gordon’s rainbow scheme) and 06, combined into 1 game. Thank God they changed the settings in Fight to the Top to where you could change the difficulty/length of the races etc., the driving physics were much improved over 06 and 05 (especially 06) it felt like the driving physics were ported over from 04.
Nascar thunder 04 may have the amazing intros but the game play is seriously flawed with ridiculously over aggressive AI opponents who treat it as a demolition fest against you and every AI car will pit after a yellow flag with no damage and still plenty of fuel left leaving you in 1st place with no real sense of achievement, same with Nascar 05- looks amazing but the AI pitting doesn't make any sense in this game either, 07 looks great and you get a crew chief recommendation come up when to pit if a yellow flag situation occurs and the AI cars are far more intelligent with the pitting scenario, 07 has a great handling ability to with a slider for loose or tight driving to suit everyone! EASTER EGG ALERT!!- if you use component inputs (red, green and blue connectors) when the 'Playstation 2' wording comes up on your loading screen, hold circle and square and after a few seconds, you will get the option to play in 'progressive scan' mode and this vastly improves the picture over an RGB signal, happy driving people!

I loved Sadler back then. I actually met him at a coffee shop and got a 1:18 scale version of his m&ms car autographed

I Iike NASCAR 06 and NASCAR 2005 because they have a more advanced car editing tool. But NASCAR 07 still is fun.

Ahhh the days when they couldn't put beer sponsors on the car. The 2006 Dale Jr. Chevrolet...always drove me nuts that you couldn't drive the Bud car.

This game was the highlight of my childhood, this was my Saturday morning at 6 am. Anyone know how I can play this game again? My ps2 broke!!!!!
