You have one and a million of the same type these days. Women defending themselves. And it's boring. What makes "My Name" outstanding, is the fact that she is in fact very vulnerable. She is not depicted as an unbearable Mary Sue, like the other so called Heroines. This show nails it pretty realistically. It's the single best Korean show, I've had ever the pleasure to watch. Great actress, great supporting cast, great story and great characters. Love it ...
@@uriadelavaro3956 There are still barely any shows/movies/etc...(and i bet with you that you can't name more than a handful prominent examples) with in-verse super strong Heroines in comparison to super strong Heroes barring obvious exceptions like Magical Girl anime/manga, much less Mary Sues outside of fanfiction, the only difference is that there are less 80s Action-Hero guys let alone Gary Stus(barring obvious exceptions like Isekais and to a lesser degree Shonen manga/anime) and Faux Action Girls let alone damsels in distress now. So how the hell is something that isn't even reality boring, or are you honestly talking about the bare minimum of women being capable of defending themself in action fiction instead of just being trophys at best as somehow boring XD?

@@thefuturespast5981 Captain Marvel is not just part of the handful i was sure he could name but was even the first name i expected tbh, but superhero fiction is an especially bad example, cause most of these characters are actually decades old and if you look at Wonder Woman(nerfed into the ground in the DCEU and can't even fly in most of the movies, while Supes on the other hand was laughably overpowered in the DCEU), Jessica Jones(who regularly tangles with Spidey lvl characters in the comics, but is somehow less powerful than Daredevil in the Netflix shows) and quite a few others in the live-action stuff, or at how ridiculously much more male superheroes exist in even just the Marvel/DC Verse, and at who are usually the biggeest Mary Sues/Gary Stus in the comicbook stories(Batman, Supes, Reed Richards, Cap, etc...) it becomes quite quickly clear that Captain Marvel is an outlier and not the norm.

This drama is the best I've seen from Korea by a country mile. I've seen her in other Korean stuff but this is class, brilliantly acted and would hold its own on any continent. Loved it!

In all honesty I wasn’t really a fan of this actress or at least not her past roles but this show really show cases her acting. It was an amazing show and the stunts and action scenes were phenomenal. The storyline was also great and it became one of my favorite show. I hope to she’s this actress in similar roles in the future.

One of my favorite Asian movies. Great premise and acting. The leading female role in this film is beautiful. I've noticed so many actresses in Asian culture are just the most beautiful smart women I've seen..love from the east.❤

I love how well as a whole describes this series. The tone starts out sad and soft because of Jiwoo being weak and sad because of her father dying, then the vibe of the song becomes intense and like rock describing how strong Jiwoo as a character became, and how at the end of the series (spoiler alert) she ends it all killing the leader of the underground (Choi Mujin).

I miss my dad so much. It's been more than one year since he died. Nothing can replace father's love & protection for his daughter. And then you're forced to stand strong coz u have no other choice. But still it's not easy & it's scary too.
Character of Ji woo was so formidable and sturdy as if like a giant mountains which no ocean can make it bend or no wind can fade away it. Keep your goals above you thats what i can see from ji woo.
This is one of the best dramas I have watched in many a year. It has a killer cast of amazing actors of Han So See and Choi and the music is terrific! It fits the series well. The fighting was realistic and very nice to see a woman nail the scenes. It shows how the months of training came through in the scenes. I wish to see more series like this with strong leads, where no one is better or worse than the other person morally. We all share darkness.

This is one of the best dramas I have watched in many a year. It has a killer cast of amazing actors of Han So See and Choi and the music is terrific! It fits the series well. The fighting was realistic and very nice to see a woman nail the scenes. It shows how the months of training came through in the scenes. I wish to see more series like this with strong leads, where no one is better or worse than the other person morally. We all share darkness.
Han So Hee should do action movies more...Han So Hee in Nevertheless looks like borimg...in My Name she just look stunned..I don't aspect she could do like that!!
