OK, After a year away I am back and will try to answer comments and questions. However most questions can be answered by reading the following:
1) This video was made to display the effects of the air dropped nuclear bomb and sea launched nuclear cruise missile and how it interacts with gameplay. No other reason.
2) Nations at War is a modification for Battlefield 2. I have not played NAW since this video was uploaded so I know NOTHING about future versions.
3) The maps depicted are Gaza (beginning) and Midway (island) both based on respective versions from BF1942 and its Desert Combat Mod.
4) This video was recorded on the PC in a private server loaded with bots for filming purposes. However the map, nukes, and mod was playable in multiplayer on co-op and conquest modes at one time.

I think nukes are a biiiit more powerful than that.

It looks like a small tactical nuke, like the ones you fire out of a cannon.

They are called Tactical Nukes. Kind of like a mini-nuke which is meant to impact a smaller radius than a regular nuke to prevent friendly casualties.

@BDtomason That's actually a real ship. It was built a few decades ago (the 80s). IIRC, Carver's ship is actually based on it. The real thing was called the "Sea Shadow" and it was docked in San Diego for a while.
I loved how you flew into that jet.
And because of the splash damage the Tanks got destroyed as wel.
Why was this recommended to me?
well, the conversation does seem quite interesting, but i find myself in the need to point something out here: Wake is in BF3...it is part of the B2K DLC pack...
so....you CAN play in Wake on BF3...
just pointing that out.

@BDtomason It's the same ship. It's name is "Sea Shadow". It really exists, the US Military built it in the 80's but it wasn't ever armed. This mod just arms the "Phantom of Sea". :) It's coating prevents enemy radar from sighting it, like the F117 Stealth. BTW: Nice vid!
@veliptor It's on PC. It's Battlefield 2 modded with Nations at War.
@brandonhieu1 you have never seen a cruise missiles capability have you? It doesn't have to hit a target to destroy it, those missiles have one heck of a punch.

Cool. I might get that mod again. It's a bit unrealistic, didn't have all the stuff it said, but I think I downloaded the wrong one. Otherwise, this mod is fun, and has lots of vehicles and weapons, but it's not fun when you play singleplayer or with no one.
@veliptor oh you... quit trolling. haha nar im just messing. BF2 was PC exclusive and this is a modded version of the game. That's why when BF3 comes out.. it will look best and play best on the PC.
Bombs aren't used anymore to attack moving targets in modern warfare. Only to attack buildings, bridges, etc. BF3 was right in replacing them with rockets and missiles.
who cares, this is a game
they'll probably make a nuclear bomb mod for battlefield bad company 2 since its coming out for pc as well...that'll be awesome to watch :D

@HAWX234 the xbox/360/ps2 version is not the same as the pc version. this is the pc version
Haha lol, there stands "Nuke'm all!" xD I like most the Sea Shadow containing the cruise missles :P The shadows's such a good thing to take out enemy garrisons :D

Map is Midway. (Known map from BF1942, how can you not know it ? :) ) But long time i don't play this mod, so i don't know where that boat is ^^

the map is called iwo jima or somethin but still its a map from BF1942 they patched bf2 and added that BF1942 map onto 1.40 bf2 patch
The cruise missile looks like it's beyond fun
did you go with your friends on a server, or is it just a singleplayer mod, but if you play with your friends can you tell it me how to do it :D
@VVARAZ solo se usan ciertas versiones del avion F-15 y se lansan el A bomb simmilar al las bombas normales "mouse button 2", o puedes usar el barco stealth y de ahi tambien lansar misiles. oh y de donde eres ...

Well, the explosion is small, but it's possible to build a 3.1 pound nuke...

To all the people who are asking if this is a mod... Just think to yourself ? Did dice ever put it bf2? What the hell else would it be
The cruise missile must have been based off of the Desert Combat Mod one from bf1942
I know it did, but BFBC2´s destructible enviroments would really mix with a nuke.

@@raptorit9092 it really was. However BF2's came out in 2005, not 2008. And it had 128 players online (compared to 64 in bf4), and the commander mode allowing you to play strategy with real people was revolutionary for these days. Still is.
@@maxisaev568 when did Battlefield 2 managed to have 128 players on the same server? I never knew. Lol
@@aim4jakkusu I reckon in 2009-2010 I was playing (before EA turned down account servers) on 128 servers that were on top, usually with russian players, but english speakers were there also. Teams 64on64, I used microphone a lot to control squads. Actually I can't remember if I ever played with less than 80 players, may be during the nights. And I started in 2006-2007.

@Dalbert342 its ok if its not so easily accesible. Its ok in mw2 at "Thermonuclear War" gamemode but i agree that its terrible in mw2 everywhere else
@jnagtube really? cause i was thinking about getting BF3 on my pc rather than my ps3, im pretty sure its the best move, would you say so?
Its a mod, you cant install a mod to a demo game, buy the full Battlefield 2 and watch a toturial about installing it.

In BF1942, BF vietnam, BF2 and BF 2142 it was not possible to destroy buildings=) The first game with frostbite is BF:BC. You should try BF2 out, I find it better when the buildings don`t get destroyed because too much becomes ruins.
Are you able to shoot these out of the air with anything (infantry rifles, grounded weapons, aircraft, etc.)?
this nuke is like 50 times smaller than a regular nuke cant any games make a realistic nuke? i mean a real nuke would have destroyed everything in that town and more
that's gotta be the saddest looking nuke explosion i've ever seen
if I ask someone on bf3 is they had bf2 they go "oh yeah I had it on the ps2" and im like "what? no not modern combat" and they're like "oh right bad company 2?" and im like "no, battlefield 2!" and they're like "oh wtf is that I neva hurd of it" and im like "-.-"
@Scythe785 oh another question. on PS3 i can just press join game and i get one. but in PC i have to search for a server and get all these gay rules and things about not doing stuff and getting kicked, is there a way i can just join a game, with out server admins and stuff? cause that may make me want it on PS3, but i really want 64 players.
ehh, those must be only like 2 kilaton nukes since they don't look as big of an explosion as the ones that were in WW2.

TRUE STORY AND I FRICKIN HATE THAT THE ''MOST 'BOMB''' THING THEY HAVE IS THE GUIDED MISSLE, WICH CAN BE ONLY USED AGAINST VEHICLES, TAKES A LONG TIME 2 RELOAD AND TAKES 2 SHOTS 2 KILL, WHILE ON BF2 U CAN DROP THE BOMB EVEN ON ANOTHER PLANE AND IT KILLS ANYTHIN ON THE 1ST HIT
