    If the cigar maker puts it in cello, I leave it in cello. It is nice to have when I am rotating my cigars and don’t need to worry about possible damage. I also sort by cigar maker. What a gentleman ! Some Perdomo cigars are a bit pricey, true enough, especially to a cheapo like me, but never "over-priced" in the least. They cost to buy because they cost to make! The quality is unmistakable, the flavor is immensely delicious and absolutely worth every penny. Nick could charge more but he doesn't. because he's a good guy and his company is made up of good people involved in every process. For the flavor and quality these are the most reasonably priced cigars in the world ! He and this company are shining examples of honor in capitalism !

    I take the cello off. A chief reason is that I get my cigars from online stores, and I doubt that they arrive properly humidified. I believe that those cigars will better reach their proper humidification unwrapped. I also find that cigars which have rested unwrapped in my humidors for 4-8 weeks are mellow relative to newly-arrived cigars. Plus, they look better. Unwrapped cigars under a glass topped humidor are a thing of beauty.

    As far as having them in a shop in highly for having cellos because of exactly what you showed but as soon as I get them home cellos come off. A LOT of cigars that come in through mail aren't at the right humidity and need to breathe to get to proper conditions and cellos slow that process down significantly. My opinion, not saying perdomo is wrong or anything

    • @PerdomoCigars
      @PerdomoCigars 4 роки тому +2

      You're absolutely right. Cellos hold their atmospheric humidity longer so it will take longer for them to acclimate. However, once they're at the right humidity, cellophane can protect them from fluctuations in humidity because it is slow to release as well.

    That is a beautiful suit, sir. Very sharp. Any tips on how to get the cigar smell out of clothing?

    I like it when cigar manufactures have their sticks in tubes. It makes it nice especially when I want to travel and I can just throw it in the tube so that way there’s no damage or cracks in the Cigar.

    I hated when I started wrapping cigars and cellophane - despite what you think, the wrappers off-gas and it does change the flavor of the stick, premium cigar rollers never wrap their sticks in covers.
    And your cover photo, with the perdomo Lot 23, I'm a big fan of Nick Perdomo cigars, but it's a Lot 23 was always that we'll see stick, I tried a few of them, not bad for a inexpensive daily knockaround stick.
    By the way if you're out buying booze, you're near a Total wine & more, stay the hell out of their humidor.. there are cigars or lounge priced for a freaking retail humidor, absolutely insane pricing 😡

    Long term studies conducted by several curators, including the Sahakians, have all concluded that cigars age better in cellophane. Over long periods of time cougars without cellophane turned bland after a decade or so while those in cellophane continued to improve.

    What about 5 packs? Should we remove the outer wrapper on the 5 pack to store the cigars individually?

    I smoke mine with the cellophane. Gives it a very unique flavor.

    should you leave the cigars in the original box also? then store the whole box in the humidor? the reason I am asking is I just converted a new beverage cooler into a humidor and don't want a bunch of cigars laying on the racks.

    Simply for the chemistry I'd like to meet any person that's managed to marry flavours of two cigars together using nothing but a humidor.

      Smell is the best way. Cellophane has no smell and plastic does.

    I've smoked a cigar with a bug in it before completely in the filler, when I saw it I was like to hell with it and kept smoking, tasted like bad breath in the morning, like shit; what breath smells like on an empty stomach
