@A Murphy i agree...i can imitate, not embarrass myself in karaoke, but professional...nope. Being in a few musicals in university doesn't make you a star...just entertaining to your brother's kids...i KNOW
She can definitely sing. She is not bad at all in fact. I just wish she can take some breaths and relax her breathing and voice. I think that is the reason she goes sharp and flat, lack of breath control. Ya that last performance did sound good and probably one of her best.

I think she's a great singer but she needs a voice coach and literally just a few tweaks with her technique could make her like AMAZINGGG like aghhh

@@lizziegranville5841 Tristan Pardes said during the summer of the Genius interview meme he had 2-3 vocal lessons with her and taught her how to relax her notes . I do agree that 2-3 lessons is not necessarily enough but it’s good to see that she was able to take criticism in those clips that he showed cause she seemed much more relaxed hitting the Monster note she did on Genius

butterflies is actually really good, i think she just needs to tweak her songs a bit in terms of key and feel so it would suit her range and voice quality more. overall i don't think she's a bad singer, she just needs to practice in honing her range and technique more so she can do the belts that she want to do with less strain

Before I watch through:
I did see her sing once. And she belted. It sounded clear, she had control over her voice. Not too hard. I think she needs to take a vocal class.

For me, the best way to judge whether one can sing is just listening to them? I thought her live version on butterflies was brilliant.
