I have to say, I was a little iffy on the depiction of Abomination as being happy to be a lazy tosspot. I would have thought he'd be happy to have some proper work again, especially station pilot and Soma goods duties as they were reminiscent of his first jobs at the industrial estate. Still, I can also relate to that sort of "haven't been told to do anything else" form of laziness as I tend to do that too. Brian's story was a real punch to the gut. Interesting how you shot his conversation with Raymond entirely in subtle Dutch angles, very effective to show Brian's borderline madness. And that last chat, I feel it was important, not just for Brian, but for the audience. Given the great influx of new engines to the DR, it was important to remind the audience, and perhaps yourself, that powerful and wealthy and Mr. Dark may be, even he can't save everyone.
He's one of my favorites too, though I think that's mostly because we know so little about him. He's supposed to be this superpowered Austerity with a revolutionary automated stoker and a Giesl ejector, able to do double the work of a normal Austerity while only requiring one crewman. There's so much potential there, both good and ill, but I feel like he's been underutilized, both in the story and by the DR; with all the talk of needing new diesels for the Soma branch, for Smash's works, for shunting here and there, those are all jobs Abomination could do now that his role as Walschurch banker has been rendered largely superfluous by Barry and the new diesels. I'm glad to see in this episode that he's going to be pushed out of his sedentary lifestyle. Hopefully that means we'll see more of him in future.
Well, they haven't been seen proporly for a while so I thought that it would be nice to see what they were up to during the diesel strike of episode 8.
2 cylinder Stanier 2-6-4T number 42672 was a Derby lass. Sadly none of the 2 cylinder class survive. A 3 cylinder version did survive and is part of the national collection
you should make any episode where she is alive and was stolen by some of the scrapers out of pity and was hidden then they learned the dark railway was looking for her and decided to sneak her over after they contact Zeke
A fantastic episode as usual and the series is certainly improving without a doubt over time, will be good when Dave's running again with the new BMG black 5 model and certainly hoping he gets out shopped in BR green once again. A shame though that Brian's former girlfriend is now dead but hope that one day in the future another female tank engine character will come along and that both eventually start a relationship like Dave & Hannah have done.
How did you get the Dark Railway Liveries? Did someone make them for you or did you make them yourself? If you did make them yourself, how did you do it?
Omg this episode was amazing I loved it like what the heck like what that's so sad about brain pour him I wish that rose world stay alive when was she in the series can you answer me that MR. dark
Tom you didn’t...... you brought in rose’s story...... when we were talking about it....... the story made me sad..... but it further develops TDRS......
2 question when you dieside to end the series you should make the last episode an hour long and go out with a BIG BANG? and it brings me to the next question how many series do you plan to make?
Hi mate, Firstly, the last episode is ready and is much less than an hour! Secondly, ill continue making TDRS as long as people are interested in it.;)
Firstly, each season s compiled of 10 episodes usually anyway, and secondly, as Anthony says, the last episode isn't being previewed to patrons as I would like everybody to be able to view the episode at the same time/together.

I agree with EVERYTHING you have just said. Well said.
Also, I do hope we see some more of Abomination. He's my favorite character in the series.

Well I think that this episode was amazing and abomination was doing really great in this episode
Susan Vestergaard Hey, that's fair, you're allowed to disagree.
Cheers Tom! Really made my day! Nice to see an episode targeted towards Abomination again and Brian for that matter.
Well, they haven't been seen proporly for a while so I thought that it would be nice to see what they were up to during the diesel strike of episode 8.

Bloody hell that ending ALMOST made my cold dead soul tear up a little
Aaawwww.this was so meaning full,a long lost love and a tragic ending with a cliff hanger.i loved it Tom.
Cheer up Brian, you know what they say!
I’ve never cried over a UA-cam video before, but dear god I’m like a water full right now
That's really got to hurt, knowing that the love of your life is dead after not knowing what became of him or her.
I’m glad we see ab for more than a second and we get to hear about Brian’s past a bit.
love the music in the background as Mr. Dark tells Brian the story of Rose
Hits ya right in the feels. Good episode once again
Sure was a shame that Rose didn't see preservation
Is a real shame indeed, unsure though if the model for her is on TS yet as the class is I believe an LMS Stanier 2-6-4T of the 2 cylinder batch.
That is correct, and no, there is no model of it in TS at present.
Birdcage Coaches!
thanks. I thought season 7 was awesome but season 8 you out did your self on it so fare. I mean it;)
you should make any episode where she is alive and was stolen by some of the scrapers out of pity and was hidden then they learned the dark railway was looking for her and decided to sneak her over after they contact Zeke
Series 9 ? When
That was a rather sad turn of events
Yay more DR

It's totally not going to be that in season 9 rose just magically reappears and defies all odds XD
She was scrapped in 1963 so I highly doubt that.
Dark DJ Productions we may never know with you, like all the times that Leanne has returned. Which is a great trait because you keep us on our toes!
what gonna happen next?
When can we have a completely comical barry centered episode?
How did you get the Dark Railway Liveries? Did someone make them for you or did you make them yourself? If you did make them yourself, how did you do it?
well that was....depressing
Autumn is my name😊😊 what a coincidence😂
Omg this episode was amazing I loved it like what the heck like what that's so sad about brain pour him I wish that rose world stay alive when was she in the series can you answer me that MR. dark
poor brian
Tom you didn’t...... you brought in rose’s story...... when we were talking about it....... the story made me sad..... but it further develops TDRS......
Poor Brian ; . ;
When's Dave going to be in a episode again?
Give it about 5 years and he'll come back somewhere in that time
He will be retired to the Dexby Railway instead.
2 question when you dieside to end the series you should make the last episode an hour long and go out with a BIG BANG?

Wow
Poor brian
Plot twist
Rip rose
Are there going to be more episodes? I know it’s an odd question, but normally you’d have the next episode uploaded on Patreon at this point.
The last episode isn't being previewed for Patrons.
High Lane Productions You mean there will only be ten episodes again?!
Firstly, each season s compiled of 10 episodes usually anyway, and secondly, as Anthony says, the last episode isn't being previewed to patrons as I would like everybody to be able to view the episode at the same time/together.
This sadness episode
