- I have finally managed to get to this amazing building to capture some drone footage and shots.
As always, I visited nice and early in the morning so to avoid much passing traffic in the shots.
I hope you enjoy the video.

My favourite building in the city. You caught it in the perfect light too!
Some place , remember going there in early 90's while visiting Liverpool ..... great City and great people ..
I enjoyed this video, the music very fitting looking forward to the next one. 👍🏻
As a kid at school (and my school name was actually mentioned in the video) used to go the cathederal a few times I remember singing, as we did at the Phil once. It looks splendid with the steps.
Nice one Nick.. Don't forget to be brave and go into Kirkby and do St Chads church which is mentioned in the Doomsday Book
Great video, paddy comes from all the Irish that worked on it during it's construction hence paddy's wigwam..
We sang Christmas carol’s around Waterloo and gave the money to the building fun, Paddy’s come from the Irish I believe
Yeah. St. Patrick, patron saint of Ireland.
You using the Mini 3 for these yet?
It's called Paddy's Wigwam because it's a Catholic Cathedral and many Liverpool catholics have an Irish background - however in these hypersensitive times it's not politically correct to call it that anymore !!!
And the wigwam bit is because the building's design looks like a teepee.
Agree with all. The Irish built it, the Scousers called it as it looks. And in a historic/nostalgic way will always be known as such
Just to clarify that I am in no way politically correct - far from it - and that my remark was sarcastic!
True....that's why you never hear of Paddy's Market anymore....now its The Greatie...to avoid insulting the Irish
