Bhrigu Lake is a trek in Himachal Pradesh close to Manali. It is a 4 day trek that climbs up to 4300 meters / 14000 ft. 4 day trek starts from Gulaba and ends at Bhrigu Lake. We decided to do something adventurous and tried a shortcut route which starts from Vashisht temple.
P.S. Do not recommend this trek if you do not have any prior experience. Stay safe!
While most trekkers do this trek for the lake, I believe it's the grasslands, where you can walk barefoot and let the grass tickle your feet. This is also when wild flowers bloom all over the meadows. It does rain a bit, but it's worth it. Even the lake turns a forget-me-not blue and makes for a lovely sight.
However, there's another side to Bhrigu Lake, when it is covered in snow. To see snow at Bhrigu Lake, the best time to trek would be in June, when the winter snow has not yet melted. The grasslands are covered in snow and the lake is frozen.
So trek between June and the first week of October. Before and after that, the trek is too difficult to navigate because of high snow.
