It was your first kerosene video that got me to subscribe

In one of your earlier videos you showed some smaller mop wick stoves from China. Last year I bought one and I have cooked on it ever since. I live in a flat and I just open the kitchen windows before I light the stove, and leave it open after I'm done and have extinguished it, so the smell disappears before I close the window. I live in Denmark, and while everyone's energy bills went up this winter, mine got reduced by more that 50% by using kerosene instead of electricity.

The way the world is going these days it’s time to channel the inner Boy Scout and Be Prepared!
I have a Butterfly lantern that needs some tlc and thankful for your calm, collected explanation of the kerosene coolers. I didn’t realise how clean they burned.

It's starting to look more critical.

#1 diesel works just as good in everything I've tried it in and is cheaper than kerosene. I've only seen it available in the winter months though

Works just as good in what? I've tried it in a wick lantern and a fiberglass wicked heater with suggested additives (fuel stabilizer & alcohol). The results were prompt carbon caking of the wicks. Kerosene and diesel are going for about the same price at present (ridiculous!). Even if diesel could be made to work with some other additive(s), the added expense gives the advantage back to kerosene.
