i actually saw this when it happened!
i was not really a super big metallica fan before then, i just didnt really listen to them (at the time i was into more emo music lol, this was like. start of sophomore year, ive graduated now). my brother and dad were though, and i was a fan of three days grace, so off we went to go see it. the place we went to gave us water and chips, so that was pretty sick.
but yeah, it went pretty well. i dont remember everything, its been a couple years, but i remember you could either stand outside or sit in your car, since it would be on the radio. im pretty sure at least, i know it was on the radio. the three days grace part was pretty sick (and the first time i had really heard matt walst's voice, which i was surprised by but of course grew to love). i was getting tired so i wasnt watching but metallica performed in a big field, but i was listening to it. pretty good.
and now i listen to tool (as well as three days grace still), so....i mean....it worked out in the end.
