honestly that little sticker that I got for doing something good on a test or getting a answer right meant more to me then anything...and it made me feel cool lol
This is all well and good, and I am totally behind you on positive consequences, but what do YOU do when children who do not exhibit the choices to earn the chance jar get mad when they don't get a chance card and throw a fit? What do YOU do when a student doesn't get their chance card drawn for a prize at the end of the day and throws a fit, or a chair, or flips a desk? What do YOU do when the student on the individual behavior chart doesn't get their check for their prescribed 30 minute interval and decides to throw a fit, or a chair, or a desk out of anger, or continues to stop caring and does what she/he wants to do for the rest of the day? You don't cover that in this video.
The ideas are good, but teachers need more explicit support. Teachers need help being clear about expressing and constantly reinforcing what their expectations are both in words and pictures for PreK - first grade students.
ua-cam.com/video/-e8KqCzm9xs/v-deo.html Thanks for your help, all good ideas! Here in my video I have some ideas on how to use songs to settle a class down. I'd really like you guys to have a look at this and tell me what you think. I hope it's useful.
Appreciate Video clip! Sorry for butting in, I would love your thoughts. Have you heard about - Trentvorty Kids Science Theorem (do a search on google)? It is a great one off product for becoming an excellent parent without the normal expense. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my work buddy got great results with it.
