Contemporary Concrete House Design With Local Materials To Find Harmony With The Environment

Designed by Di Frenna Arquitectos, the Kaab Residence is a stunning contemporary home located in Nogueras, Mexico. The residence sits on the grounds of a historic hacienda, originally established for sugar production in the early 1700s. The hacienda was acquired by the artist Alejandro Rangel Hidalgo's family in the 1940s and remains a beloved landmark in the community.
Espacio Kaab, as the residence is also known, pays homage to the hacienda's rich history and craftsmanship. The design blurs the lines between indoors and outdoors, integrating the natural environment into the very fabric of the home. This is achieved through the use of natural materials, such as stone floors and wood walls, as well as large windows and open spaces that allow for ample natural light and ventilation.
The residence is divided into three main volumes: the living area, the bedrooms, and the service areas. The living area is a spacious, open-plan affair that includes the kitchen, dining room, and living room. This space opens onto a large terrace with a swimming pool, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
The bedrooms are located in a separate wing of the house and are designed to be peaceful and private sanctuaries. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom and private balcony.
The service areas are located at the back of the house and include a laundry room, storage room, and garage.

Could have been nice but I could not get past how the large trees had been hacked. You never leave limbs sticking out, sets tree up for disease and rot. Disgusting.
