    Love your vids man, keep them coming. Very soothing and informative. Your character as a man comes through and commands my respect and belief in what you say. It's obvious you are genuine. It's like you are my first smoking buddy. Thanks!

      Jack Daniels - When I started my channel I had 3 criteria; 1. To provide solid information through my own experiences, and research of topics I had not experienced. 2. Keep the videos short (under 15 minuets) so as not to put undue stress on the attention span. 3. Get to the point and get out, my channel is more of a teaching style channel, most people want to learn what I have to teach them, so I try to get to the point discuss the point, then end the video, not hear how my day went, or how my boss has been riding me all day. There are that style of video out there, and if that's what you like, they are easily found, that's just not my style. I am glad you find my videos helpful, and I hope to be doing them for a long time to come. 😃😃😃

    Hello. I am living in Belgium (Europe) and I like your videos very much (I starting smoking pipes when I was 16 and now we are 40 years later !). I like a lot of american tobaccos (with the new laws I have a huge tobacco cellar). l like GL Pease tobaccos very much, specialy Westminster, Quiet Nights, Maltese Falcon and Gaslight. If it is possible for you to make videos on these tobaccos and other created in the USA I will be a happy man. Thank you very much for all you are doing for the pipesmokers ! Xavier.

    I want to take a moment and thank you for your work Mr. Muttonchop Piper. Your videos are a joy to watch. They are made with such care, detail and patience there's an artistic quality to them and always organized. How little things matter so much, this particular video is an example. I have been smoking pipes on and off since 2008 and now with the help of your videos the experience has dramatically improved in a matter of days. You do not only look like a rockstar, you are a rock star and once again thank you. (you are to pipes what ralfy is to whisky)

    Been watching your videos for awhile now, always enjoy them and always find usefulness out of every one. Than You for your content!
    I also have discovered many people so far in the YTPC and there is a question that has been on my mind.
    When we are out and about, what is the best method for cleaning the tamper end and poker on the pipe tool? I am curious about those 2 as they are the most often used out of the 3 on the tool.
    I find myself taking the tamper and wiping it off on my pant leg before placing in my pocket, then look down and there is a dot of ash on my pant leg. Not nice to look at when where khaki pants or black uniform pants like I do.
    Let me know if you have input!!! Thank You

    Mutton Chop, at bout what range of temperatures and humidity should a pipe be left to dry in(after smoking)?

    • @MuttnchopPiper
      @MuttnchopPiper  5 років тому

      There is no real way to control that, if you live in a region that is prone to high humidity, it may take longer for your pipe to dry out then if you live in a more dry climate

    • @fatmangame5297
      @fatmangame5297 5 років тому

      @@MuttnchopPiper Thanks for the swift reply, appreciate it! I live in a very humid country, but I have boveda humidity packs, whuch I plan to use by storing those and my pipes in an air tight container. So about what humidity should those packs be at? Thanks again!

    Cannot thank you enough for passing on your knowledge. Long time cigar smoker but came across your videos and was convinced pipe smoking was a better fit for me on a regular basis. Bought first pipe a couple months ago and I’m up to 7 now. I’ve now slowed down on buying to focus on learning more nuances of the hobby and to develop my preferences on pipe shapes/tobacco blends. Looking forward to your future videos.

    I am trying to break in a Missouri Meerschaum maple pipe, do you have any pointers for a pipe like this? It's not a corncob pipe or briar and I wondered if there are special procedures given that it is less durable than briar.

    • @MuttnchopPiper
      @MuttnchopPiper  6 років тому +1

      Michael Driggers - I don’t think so, it should behave like a Briar, but I have to admit I have never smoked a pipe like this, so I may not be the best person to guide you, but my suspicion is it’s will be like breaking in a Briar pipe. 👍👍👍

      how about another kinda odd thing I've never herd anyone mention, where you kinda tap on the top of a pipe with 1 or 2 fingers (whatever is needed to make a slight seal). Lately I've found it really helps bring the ash to the top and cool is slightly. the only downside is I feel slightly silly basically spanking my pipe when it's acting badly :P
