I lost my shit when I heard this theme started playing when Lucilius entered his Celestial Fusion phase on Relink. His boss fights in general was PHENOMENAL. GIVE PRAISE! 🤌🎶🔥
3:25 and to the end of the first loop are really an embodiment of heroism charging into what could be your final moments against your foe. This being used in Relink for Phase 2 was the absolute best option!
I find it curious they made this theme sound so bright and full of heroic bravado, then again it DOES definitely give the typical JRPG-"it's time to slay a god" vibe.

He was killed by his own creation - the Supreme primarch, Lucifer - for wanting to end the world to smite god, which Lucifer did not agree with. However, since Astrals are immortal, another one of his creations, Belial, managed to resurrect him by stitching his head onto Lucifer's dead body (who was killed by Beelzebub at some point) - hence why Lucilius has that scar on his neck. With Lucifer's body, Lucilius was already an extremely powerful being, but he eventually becomes nearly godlike upon absorbing the power of another similarly powerful being. It's no coincidence that his vocal theme starts with the verse "Give praise, for he has no equal".
Not gonna lie, despite being a Fighting game, Lucilius fight was amazing, especially when Gran and Djeeta go blue to deal the finishin move to Lucilius
More fun fact : Sandalphon is voiced by Kenichi Suzumura, voice of Zack. Cloud is a duplicate of Zack (kinda). Sandalphon is a clone of Lucilius. They kinda swaped roles.
Now imagine this playing as Sandalphon and Faa-san stare each other down in the grand finals of EVO 2025 and the Sandy player connects a finishing blow SSBA during the climax of the song at the end of a nailbiter last-hit last-round match. It's basically impossible but it would be the craziest shit ever
He's too much of a commercial opportunity to not be included now that the story progressed far enough...You can make people buy an entire 2nd pass of DLC just by announcing him, there's really no reason to announce him early xD
I get the feeling that he’s possibly the April DLC character, will find out in the GBF Fes stream a few days from now if they drop that update on 4/3 (Ain Soph Aur CD release date day) it would make me laugh a lot if it turns out that way. Hope MAO is a guest when he gets announced 😂
