    Rick, can you do a video if you want to put together a more elaborate rig for Steadicam work and interior double system sound. Digital. I shot with an ARRI SR3 until 2018

    Very good review of both Tilta mini FF and Sigma FP rigging. What do you use to connect the Tilta Mini FF and the SMALLRIG cage? I can't find a viable solution...

    • @rickvestuto
      @rickvestuto  3 роки тому

      Smallrig makes an mini Nato Rail that allows you to attach a rail clamp to the bottom lower side on the smallrig cage

      @@rickvestuto thanks a lot! I appreciate your support. I understand I have buy both pieces and then I insert a rod where to put the mini follow focus, right? from your rig set up the configuration looks different...

      Thats correct
      I ended up drilling my two holes out on the side of the cage so I didnt have to use the Nato Rail
      Then I bought a Rail Clamp with two threaded holes and screwed them in from the backside
      Best of luck your subscription helps me out ;-)

    Will this Follow Focus work on a Sigma 16mm F1.4 lens on a Canon M50? I want to get it but don't want to waste my money

    • @rickvestuto
      @rickvestuto  4 роки тому +1

      A follow focus will fit any camera
      All you need is a Cage for your camera for the follow focus to hook to

      I contacted ATOMOS and tried to confirm the rumor and here's what they told me
      "Hello Rick
      Working closely with SIGMA, but we do not have SIGMA fp, and Cine DNG is only thru SDI."
      So looks like it's a no go sorry

    • @markjob6354
      @markjob6354 4 роки тому

      @@rickvestuto It's funny they say that, since they have an SDI adapter ready which slips on the rear battery compartment of the Ninja V and allows for both a battery and SDI In/Out.

      @@rickvestuto Oh, but the Sigma FP doesn't have any SDI out ! Okay, this maybe why he said it was a "no go ?" There are HDMI to SDI converters out there too, but maybe the two companies think that's too combersome a solution and isn't worth it, but consider this. Sigma is working on a promised new feature of having playback of cDNG RAW files in the camera. *Now, if the FP can "playback" such RAW files "in-camera," then would that playback not also be available OUT OF THE HDMI ?* This would not constitute LIVE capture to the Atomos Ninja V, but it would make it possible for post capture or (output for capture to Atomos Ninja V to convert RAW to Avid DNxHR or Apple Pro Rez after). What about Atomos making a USB (Because that's where the RAW signal is being fed from) input module for the back caddy of the Ninja V ? That would do it.

    I'm not sure if you've heard about it, in my bubble it's a big thing, but I guess it's not for most people: Carnivore Diet. I know, sounds crazy. Dr. Shaun Baker's Joe Rogan podcast is a good place to start, just give it a listen. Congrats on the progress.
