I bought one of these Rubik’s Revenge 4x4x4 cubes when they first came out in 1981, and having already learned Patrick Bossert’s method for solving the original 3x3x3 cube, sat for 3 days and worked out, and carefully wrote out, a solution to solve the 4x4x4 cube from any starting position….but stupidly leant the cube AND the solution, to a “friend” of mine….and never saw them or the “friend” again! I could’ve published it and made a few quid if I hadn’t been so stupidly trusting!

I was stuck in a two corner partity issue. Out of frustration I reassembled it from another side and ended up with the two edge pair scenario shown here, so I finally fixed it, thanks to the tip. The 4x4x4 can be the devil, due to this. Megaminx is a stroll in the park compared with this.
