I'm curious why didn't you leave the factory pannier frames on there so when you put on your Tusk pack and keep it away from the exhaust system and rubbing on your plastic side panels
Ha ha. No problems so far with my rear shock. I even got the bike all the way off the ground and landed it. Also hit a crevice at speed that did bottom out the front forks once. But no problems.
It does look like one of the BMW GS has lights that flash but I never noticed it in person. Maybe just a digital artifact of the recording and refresh rate similar to his LEDs? weird. That would be distracting in person.
@@nordenamerica That is weird! He may have a charging issue that is getting caught via shutter speed/refresh rate. A DC supply voltage shouldn't do that unless it's pulse width modulated
Looks like an awesome trip! Thanks for sharing🤙
damn that looks like paradise to do a trip

Whoops answered my own question the regular 901 doesn't come with the luggage pannier side frames just realized you had the standard 901
Awesome video Michael....I really need to trailer my bike to Utah on our next trip down. What is your trailer it's ideal👌
Yes come on down. Mine is just an old golf cart trailer I've had for 20 years.
Any issues with your rear shock Micheal or anyone else?
Rear shock holding up fine. Even got the bike completely off the ground. Great bike so far.
Did you carry a spare rear shock ?

I absolutely can not ride with people who have the non stop flashing lights. It's a distraction that I can't seem to get used to or ignore.
