Nobody : "kids now a days don't know what true despair is".
That one kid trying to beat yozora in Nintendo switch with 2G connectivity.
What did the heartless say?
@@strider4life696 "Let's put a shitty port of Kingdom Hearts on Switch!"
@@aliridho3513 Good news from the future
They fixed it
I bought it the other day I’ve been playing kh1 blind aside from an occasional minor cutscene lag the gameplay and game has been really smooth and great
@@madnessarcade7447 is it really? I’ve been on the fence of buying them for a while
I believe it was because Nomura learned people called his games too easy so he decided to challenge them by using another difficulty to test their skills facing connectivity issues to continue the plot.
It's like poetry to the KH lore. Alot of sudden halt to the plot to make way for other exciting things like Disney worlds, minigames, and anything not numbered 1, 2, and 3.
Square Enix really was out here like: “Actual KH Switch ports? Nah, people don’t want that. NFTs? Now THAT’s what the people want!”
Well see, making actual ports would take effort. NFTs are just an easy cash grab so all the execs are all on board
Bro an actual corn ball no one will or have said that
Yeah
@@LilacMonarch execs never know What the hell they’re talking about nine times out of 10 they don’t know what they’re talking about it actively ruined everything they think they’re trying to save in the process it’s the anti-Midas touch
I still don't know what NFTs are.
Idk why they thought it would be a good idea, this really isn't the type of game they should be running off of a streaming service
The real infuriating part is that the 1.5 and 2.5 could of been terribly feasible on the switch and DDD obviously. It really is a sad situation.
Right!!! Kh3 I can understand, but you can’t get kh1 to ruin smoothly? Houston we have a Problem.
@@jaioncebollero1168 I'm saying this because the collections were available on ps3 first.
honestly even if that was the case, i am finding this fishy because we LEGIT have the witcher 3 on switch (i personally don't own it as i have like 2 copies already on my other consoles lol) so like if it can run a heavy game like that (yes witcher 3 is a bit older now but graphical wise is heavy so the fact they managed to port it to the switch is amazing!) then how come kh3 can't be ported? it isn't easy to port to nintendo console's we know that but it feels simply...lazy really
that and the storage comment made me laugh like again, we can do sd memory cards, i have a 500gb one and i'm doing good still lol. that's the same way you do for other consoles, so again why problems for switch?
When you're dealing with a real-time action based game like KH, you absolutely cannot operate with things like glitches, lag, frame cuts and internet shutdowns. A game like KH (especially the harder bosses) is basically unplayable if you can't trust in the fluidity and stability of the game itself.
imagine doing data fights on the cloud
@@silversolarfire5473 Forget data fights-with this kind of bugginess I'd be lucky to beat a Darkside.
I played Bloodborne fine on PSNow. Maybe the pace the visuals change at in KH would create problems though.
I’m personally very open to cloud gaming. I play Stadia and the experience is seamless. But then I played xCloud and the latency makes the games unplayable. If cloud gaming works, it’s truly phenomenal. But we all played that KH demo… nope nope nope
@@Andy-es2lh Cloud Gaming doesn't work yet because internet isn't always an option nor is stable internet as the time of day and traffic can completely ruin it.
It is like when Nintendo made the virtual boy. The technology is far from up to the standards needed for it.
i'm ghlad to see the community showing square that there're not just gonna sit there and take whatever SE gives them just because it's kingdom hearts and are actually making a stand to try and get the series the quality treatment it deserves instead of these poor quality cloud games
This makes me so sad. I hope this decision on SE part doesn't ruin the experience for people new to the franchise.
I tried the trial for KH2, got to the Grandstand mini game and got a good score going ... until the game froze for a few seconds and ruined my run.
Closed game.
Deleted game.
Will never touch that game again (on switch).
My experience of the cloud versions in a nutshell...
When I first played the demos, my impression was okay this is serviceable. But then I did the data organization boss fights in remind for the first time and realized doing those fights would be hell on switch
The rough part is, no matter how many of us band together to stay away from these, there will be a whole ton of ignorant people that will get it anyways unaware of what is inherently wrong with cloud gaming
I won’t be getting it since my internet isn’t always best plus I love playing kh lag free
That’s the issue with gaming. How many ppl do you see bitch and complain about EA every year. But yet EA had their best fiscal year, last year. There’s always some idiot that will buy the game no matter what, smh
I brought the collections not out of ignorance but because it's my only option and I have the internet for it. Never played them before aside from DDD and only being a Nintendo fan and I couldn't wait any longer knowing it was right there in the eShop.
@@treaon511 My girlfriend and I are in the same boat. We only have the switch so we don't have much of an option. We only buy 2-4 games a year so the $70 is justifiable considering we will take awhile to play through them. Enjoy!!
Again, I think another way for KH 0.2 and KH3 to natively be ported to the Switch is to look at what Toys for Bob did with Crash Bandicoot 4.
Much like KH 0.2/3, the game runs on the Unreal Engine 4; however, what Toys for Bob did to make the game looked and performed at its best, they had to make adjustments to mostly everything graphic-wise (including texture size, static model polys, skeletal mesh bones, shadow map density, light map resolution, particle systems and textures).
Heck, they even had to make some smart modifications, so the game performed as well as it does on the Switch hardware.
I feel like Square isn’t accommodating for the long term maintenance cost for Cloud Gaming. And unless there’s a multiplayer feature, putting an offline game online isn’t best
They had DDD, BBS and Recoded on portables, I don't get why they can't get the older KH games to be ported
6:33 your face basically sums up the whole discussion.
Dude, Im still just waiting for the finale of Dark Road because that was supossed to come out in September which was pushed back to Winter and now, Winter is almost over.
There's no reason everything up to Dream Drop Distance can't be physical. I understand if 0.2 to KH3 has to be on the cloud because of the actual Switch specs.
That is exactly why you shouldn’t get into cloud gaming. It’s a very poor choice by Square Enix to not make true ports of the collection. Would’ve been fine even if it was just KH1 and KH2 on one cartridge. But this is a huge cop-out.
Hey TGJ , Ive been watchin you for a hot minute now just wanted to say youve had a hand in inspiring me to do UA-cam videos.
Cant wait to see what else you have in store
- from one fellow nz youtuber to another
Utada: 🎶When you walk away…🎶
Narrator: “And indeed … the KH fans did walk away from that nonsense.”
Nomura: Ok no Cloud system... We'll use the new Nintendo Squall one instead.
Leon: What?
Cloud: What?
Nintendo: I got you Nomura san 👍
All Playable KH Characters: 😥
After all these years, you’re still my favorite KH youtuber.
And speaking of file size, you take any multi-platform game that is on switch and compare to the other platforms and the switch version will be around half the file size anyway. And I understand part of that is more than likely due to lower polygon models and texture size but also Nintendo is really good at building an OS with proper compression systems
They could of did like what 2k did with the Borderlands games and made each game their own app. That way if you were running out of space, you could delete one game after completing it and install the next one.
Theirs really no excuse...they know damn well we want a physical version of this series. Dont give them your money period...
@@randallmart92 Agreed. They were playing off the hype of Sora being added into Smash and they figured cloud versions were the best way to make a quick buck. Hopefully that won't happen and they make at least digital native versions and whoever bought the cloud versions get the actual versions free
@@Jmoney-tk6tk I agree about the hype statement and also digital distribution is probably most likely if they release it further for the switch since there's the entire electronics components manufacturing shortage going on
They could’ve sold the series separately. Like kh2+358/2 days bundle
It should have been a digital download with updates from online for more content
I can't even play the cloud versions because they keep crashing before I even get to the main menu! If I knew this was what I would be dealing with including everything you told me, I would have never bought all three cloud versions!
It's been almost 3 years and we still have the cloud versions and no native ports... I hope that Square is really working on native ports because i really want to relive KH3 on the Switch 😭
Why can't they just split 1.5 and 2.5 into two games, wasn't that what they were originally?
So glad your making a lot more kingdom hearts videos. I have missed it and you my good sir. Your so good at investigating gathering information and reporting it. I seriously don’t even need to go to any other websites. Bravo 👏
if the 3ds can handle a game like KHDDD - it can totally run the older games at least. I understand KH3 being a cloud version (kind of) but like Jared said, if it can run the Witcher 3, it should be fine. The reason these are probably cloud versions because shareholders wanted Square to have something on the switch that give them a lot of time to natively port them.
Either that or Disney
Why play the cloud version for a game that is twitchy in its gameplay and that you need lightning dodge reflexes in secret boss fights? It's counter-intuitive.
It's super hilarious how every Kingdom Hearts fans has Sora purchased and downloaded for Smash, however we all avoid this cloud Version like if it was leprosy!
"Somewhere up in the f_____ cyberspace..." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i kind of regret buying them with my birthday money i hope that they do do well and eventually make a native port eventually
*They could have just made 1 cartridge per game and I would have happily bought them all*
But no, Cloud gaming is here. Cloud gaming is the future. All hail Cloud gaming.
🤦🤡
In which case 1.5 and 2.5 are separate, AND both of them are full price, while KH3 will likely cost $70, because fuck cartridges and their manufacturing costs I guess #HalfJoking #HalfSarcastic
3:19 when you want to go to sleep but your brain like 🤣
wifi is okay if you're close to the router - Shiki Nanaya
I bought 1-2 final mix it won’t load it keeps saying error occurred couldn’t connect to cloud server
I must need more sleep because I really thought we were talking about ff cloud for a hot minute ;w;
Just a heads up I did not receive a notification when your video went up. I luckily went to subscriptions and and saw it was uploaded.
Honestly I'm not sure what Square was thinking just not making the ports native
It will be a while longer before it's comparable to native local gaming.
I’m so happy you’re back 😭😭😭
HMK is like Angryjoe in the way that he reacts. He actually said at some point that his channel was inspired by AngryJoe which is really awesome. They are both making awesome videos and their reactions both positive and negative are quite hilarious.
I’m getting this! I never had a issue with the demos and the Switch is the only gaming console I own. So pretty happy I can play this! I even tried playing it handheld from my bedroom and the bathroom with no issues 😂😂😂
Same here 💙
Why did HMK force himself to suffer like that?
Bro so proud of you my guy you been uploading a shit ton....now watch these subs go up fam!
6:25 KING CRIMSON!!
Trinity limit can kill bosses in one hit. That's all you need to know.
I understand people aren't happy with the cloud versions, but those games are basically available on every other platform you can think of, so I'd rather SE uses their resources developping new games over yet another version of KH3, probably a very ugly one with very low FPS anyway.
When I first heard KH was gonna finally come on Switch, I was excited, but when Cloud version came in I was then skeptic. But I still wanted to give it a try. I am glad they put out demos for free, as it would’ve been a bit shady to be like “You have to pre-order the game to play the demo”…never understood that. I do hope Square takes note of our reactions to this since they’ve done it before like with KH3 when everyone was saying it was too easy, come Re:Mind with Critical mode. Yeah safe to say they listen and they deliver. So hopefully they can try and do the same for something like this.
Preorder to try the demo???? Scummy as fuck.
@@jaioncebollero1168 Yeah, I think some games were like that back then.
Yes, you have more than summed up all the reasons why I am not buying these Switch Cloud ports. The price does not justify all these problems. The lag, the lack of portability, the fact the fact that if the server crashes, your hundred something dollars will amount to nothing. And I also feel for people who live in areas that are outside of the streaming range. Just a bad deal overall. I will stick with my PS4 versions for now. Sorry, Square Enix. Give us native ports and also give people the same deal on the whole series as you did for the Playstation owners for all other systems and we will talk.
Good news from the future
They fixed it
I bought it the other day I’ve been playing kh1 blind aside from an occasional minor cutscene lag the gameplay and game has been really smooth and great
This is absolutely Nintendo's doing. My conspiracy theory is Square is completely aware that cloud games suck, but Nintendo wanted to capitalize on Sora in Smash, so they made a deal: crap out some cloud KH game because they can't port PS2 games onto the Switch, and you can have Sora in Smash. I have no proof this is what happened, but knowing Sakurai and Nomura's respect for their franchises, it probably wasn't their idea.
I still don't understand why people harp on the prices being so high on PC. I get why people are mad with the cloud versions of the game, but the PC versions having this price makes sense, especially since I am certain they know it will be modded like no tomorrow. Plus, even if you aren't, they are still full games being in collections, and one of them is a gigantic game with a DLC bundled with it, so it makes far too much sense. The only one I can't agree with it being such a high price is 2.8 since that collection doesn't have too much inside it, so it doesn't make sense with that one, but aside from that, the prices seem fine on PC, just not the cloud versions on Switch.
As I understand it this company basically goes to publishers and tells them that they can get their game running in the cloud for switch without any effort on their part. Looks like they found a good partner since square didn't give a shit about their pc ports now they can just have someone else not care for them on the switch.
Closing the Wii U and 3ds shop surely didnt help the purchases of this “release”.
The idea of now even “owning” the game for that price is ridiculous.
What baffles me is that they were able to port Dragon Quest XI with extra content and QOL improvements, but couldn't bother to port 3 PS2 games, a PSP game, and a 3DS game. 😒😒
I played the demos on switch lite using Mobile data throught my android phone. It wasnt a bad experiance... no soundd lag... just sometimes geting bad graphical quality. Its not as bad as people say
I’m one to defend Square normally but I can’t with this one. In my opinion it would’ve been better to focus on porting 1.5 and 2.5 then just admit 2.8 and 3 will take longer due to how much more power they have. This decision is going to bite them in the ass so hard.
I'm not defending SE here, but I feel that if they were doing a native port of 1.5 and 2.5, they would a) split them back into two games, and b) charge BOTH for full price, because there's the manufacturing costs that come with the one thing people seem to forget a lot when discussing something like this: _the cartridge format._ Cartridges are more expensive than an optical media format like Blu-ray, and that price goes up with the storage increase. Plus, 1.5 and 2.5 on the _PlayStation 3_ were roughly 20 GB in terms of size EACH, and these days developers don't seem to really like going for anything higher than 16 GB carts, because 32 GB carts would be even pricier. KH3, meanwhile, would likely be above standard full-price, because I'm just that pessimistic about the format (plus, the practice of adding an extra 10 bucks from other releases are not uncommon; see Puyo Puyo Tetris, Minecraft: Story Mode - The Complete Adventure, and Tequila Works' Rime)
how to get the worst experience with the cloud version:
go outside, make a hotspot on your phone, conect to it
3 stages of paket-loss
vpn makes it even more fun
about storage... ethernet-dongle cost you 15$ or whatever and a sdcard aint cheap. still, that solves the "i cant play outside of my home" and i immagine people serious about playn undocked-only have like 3 400gb cards with them
in my eyes thats just an excuse you use when you dont have solid excuses
It’s available here in the UK. That I can confirm.
I still wish they make the kingdom hearts games into game cards instead of the cloud version
If it's a hardware issue then maybe just the DS games get ported to the switch, they're low enough in quality that dealing with a 3d modeling probably wouldn't make it much worse and this way players can ACTUALLY play the games but in an updated version, that way technically they did put a 'new' KH game remaster and it makes some sense too. But that's my own opinion on what square could do.
im not getting cloud version either rather get it on ps4 and wait to get it on black friday for even cheaper
Man, you're looking a lot older since I subscribed years ago. Same goes for me though too
Yeah true we all age but just shows cynical is more mature
I have solid connection at home, 400+ Mbps wired, 150-200 average wireless... And yeah my connection was nearly as bad as HMK's clip. It makes no sense X_X even being in the same room as my router.
I tried the demos and they suck.
Even with the "patch," they don't work properly. Kingdom hearts 1 started okay-ish with slight input delays, but as I got to the questions, I was experience a bit of audio delays. Then the Aurora station, visuals took a hit. The Darkside boss and destiny islands were fine, but I was rushing to beat the time, so I can't remember any problems I ran into during those segments.
Re:Chain of Memories was horrible. Audio delays were severe, massive lag, and when game resumed after freezing. Everything was happening all over the place.
0.2 started okay-ish as I had some input delays. But I got a few stutters during the first wave of heartless, then getting to the 1st treasure chest had me struggle to control Aqua. No, that's an understatement. More like STEERING her so I can stop her from repeatedly running into walls. I can't think of any other issues as I have tried to rush the gameplay of gathering gears, but I didn't struggle as much in that segment.
Kh3, it's going to sound rather bizzare, but I barely had any issues playing it. I don't know why I having an easier time playing 3 than the other games. Maybe it's just me, I don't know.
The Cloud versions are trash, especially the classic games like 1, 2, and ReCom. I haven't played BBS due to the limited amount of tries to play the demo. I can understand 3, but the switch can handle games that originated from the PS2, which is inexcusable.
At my Walmart they have the full collection on ps4 for $20 new. So yeah those price points are embarrassing
>I want Kingdom Hearts on switch alreadyyyy....
>NOOOO not like thiiiis....
I’m only hoping that this will push Square Enix to actually port the games to the system
The whole point of porting this to switch is that I’d be able to take it anywhere, If I’ve gotta be at home I gonna play it on the PS5 not the switch, I’m Australian anyway tho lol
6:25
It's not lag ...
It's the Heartless using Zantetsuken on Sora ...
Honestly if they don’t make a native port of the kingdom hearts series on the Nintendo switch I’m going to cry 😭 but then again I’ve beaten the kingdom hearts series on the Xbox one so I don’t need to purchase the series on the switch I just want others to experience this series on the go cause a young boy with spiky hair wielding a giant key I mean what’s not to love😂
It's just a money grab. Paying absurde money for a cloud game is just not done. They could've easily put kingdom hearts on a nintendo switch disk, even multiple disks.
you can get all kindom heart games for 24 or less for playstation 4
with how bad it is youre gonna have to break into the server room and camp there to be able to actually play this
KH fans to Square: "just do it"
Unless you have a Hotspot on your phone then you can play the kingdom hearts games on the switch on the go
For the Nintendo switch if ur going to get any of them go and make a north America account and buy it that way
I would have more respect for SquareEnix if they outright said we don't want KH series on the switch instead giving people some bullshit version that plays ass. Like, I appreciate the honesty, honey.
I can see you're struggling.. the heat in Queensland is nuts
The sad thing is how the industry works is if let's say 95% of KH fans and gamers in general boycotted the cloud version that wouldn't incentivise them to make a digital downloadable version, but instead jsut not make KH games for the Switch anymore period. They will see it as the consumers, you, not having any interest in it being on switch and just never do a digital port let alone any future game on the switch. So please people, still buy it, give it a fair chance, and if it still fails to meet you standards then submit negative reviews of it. THAT is what will make the difference ultimately and will show them that people were interested in the games being on switch but the execution not so much. TL;DR If you want a them to eventually make a digital downloadable port for Switch in the future, still BUY the cloud game but then SUMBIT NEGATIVE REVIEWS OF IT HAVING TO BE CLOUD AFTER.
Michael “Roxas” Johnson screenshot two videos belonging to this user? Well guess I found the trail of breadcrumbs he laid out while he screenshot about eight videos about Kingdom Hearts on the Nintendo Switch. Mission accomplished.
Hey I’ve been watching you since middle school and I’m about to graduate college just wanted to share some crazy high thoughts
Yep if the space is a problem then they should put on the cover box or digital cover that you need to buy an SD card of 32 GB at least cause some already have their 1TB SD for this and for the Naruto Shippuden ultimate ninja storm collection
I picked them up because I don't have a PS, do have a Switch, and have no interest in any other PS game. I'm hoping they start to work soon.
I would've understood cloud for kh3 or 2.8 but for 1.5+2.5 it just makes no sense
I have to play my switch over wifi because I can't connect it to ether. I bought the collection thinking it was a download software cause I only found about the game release a week ago. Was super hype about playing them and it's unplayable. Game loads up and when it says "hit a/b/x/y to play" It will start loading and then have an error every time. Now I'm looking at a wasted $70 cause I've seen zero about the negativity of it until now....great job Nintendo. I thought it was last of the good gaming companies left. I don't own an xbox or ps.
Also, I played KH1 and KH3, both really bad input error
Honestly still haven’t bought the PC versions even though I really really want them. The prices were ridiculous. I don’t even know what the prices are today because I haven’t bothered checking.
Don’t burn the only bridge you have before you let people in, Devs/Publishers.
You could take them on the go with the Steam Deck though.
I 100% agree with you Cynical like I would buy KH again for switch ( which is my equivalent of people obsession with Skyrim) if it was natively ported to the system because my internet at home isn't the best (so I see no point of me purchasing these version at all) plus charging full price for a version that doesn't work is stupid and greedy at the end of the day and I'm glad that people in the fanbase are standing there ground for once for something that just make sense. Hopefully SE see the backlash these version are getting and do something about sooner then later if they actually listen to the community feedback like you say.
We need to complain enough like we did for the sonic movie 👀
I think Them releasing Cloud versions is giving me hope sense if we keep bitching about it and they listen to us it might actually come natively one day
Neat Emile tattoo!!!
The prices are def square remember the pc ports
Frankly, thinking about buying a PS5 and getting the collection physically.
Out of all those pissed off comments, I'm 100% certain Square will fix the problem. They don't ignore requests.
@Master Shifu Honesty, that's not saying much. Yes, everyone rushed and bought KH on Switch immediately on Day 1! Because it's KH on Switch lol but I'm sure AFTER audiences play it and realizehow garbage the games are in Cloud, the sales will drop. A good comparison to this situation is The Last of Part II. On Day 1, the game was sold immediately in a seconds! And the game became the quickest selling PS4 game! BUT! After people played the game and saw how awful the story was, the game immediately started dropping sales and negative reviews started popping up! So, it's only a matter of time when the Cloud versions of KH will do the same.
Maybe if you made a new profile on the Nintendo Switch and set this new profile to United States ?
