This is how to replace the PCV Valve and Valve Hose assembly on a 98 Ford escort. it is basically the same procedure for all the ford Escort series cars and most other Ford vehicles.
Thanks for making this video. Watching this really showed me how easy changing out my hose would be. Took me about 3 minutes and cost about $40. Hose came with the valve from dealership. Awesome post.
I've been looking for the hose assembly for the pcv valve for months and didn't realize it was a dealer part. Greatly appreciated man, now I can get my car running like new again.
Hey! Nice video --- I've a 99 and the bottom hose (exiting the PCV Valve) basically rotted away...My thanks for "It's a dealer part"...I'll definitely hit the junk yards....there are several things I could use for my old Escort. Thanks again !
Thanks. Glad this helped you. I'll be posting and recording more over the year we're always working on something even if its just to take care of it before the problem happens.
Great performance, thanks. I like how you cover every little detail and took your time. My Escort is 1997-- wondering if the part # is going to be the same as commented on below F8CZ-6758-DA
i have a 95 ford escort and I need to know how to change a vapor canister I have yet to see any one change one please help me out and post a video on it so I can do this my self thank you.
i have the same model escort an 02 escort se and my question is would replacing the pcv valve help running lean problem? the code shows up but no check engine light on. thanks in advance
@papo862 Take it to Autozone and ask them to run a code check tell them u hade a light come on and go off they will chck it for nothing. If ur getting the code but still no light replace the whole unite and save your self trouble later. even if ur light is not going off the computer will register the code in testing best to fix it now before your emissions test.
