Thank you very much for the detailed video
Awesome job, next week on Wednesday I will be going to buy a 1997 3000GT SL. I can't wait to get my hands on that
If you have issues with your regulator you need to realize that Mitsubishi made some changes to the regulators for cars produced after Feb 96. The earlier regulators will not bolt in place on a 97 so if your regulators have issues you are going to need to verify fitment before replacement.
hi joe thanks for another great video cant wait for part 2
My passenger side window has always giving me issues and this helps so much thank you. Just need to find a regulator
You can try and take the glass to a local satellite, or someone who knows how to buff glass cause they grind out scratches all the time for windshields they install but you have to be careful because a bad job means a noticeable bend in the glass
Great vid as always. I noticed on my driver side door that if i leave the windows down but not all the way down and close the door that causes the window to shake. Also whenever im driving and hit a bump the driver side window will shake just a little but. I recently replaced the window regulator and the weatherstrip as well. but it still shakes.
Hi Ian do you had to remove the window to replace the regulator? I will be replacing the regulator and I have that question
@@sergioperez8667 No you dont have to remove the window. I believe Joe has a great video on how to remove the window regulator.
Perfect timing just bought a stealth and both windows are not aligned.
I got a new regulator for the passenger side everything works.it rolls up about 1/3 only please up me
I have a 1994 vr4 that I'm currently restoring I would love to see a video on the rear subframe bushings replacement and a if possible the removal of subframe
Hi Jovanny.
I just had the same request from someone in Canada. All video requests are now done through my forum and UA-cam is for video comments. If you go to the request a video section of the forum, you can read the full reply and add your request to the list. Thanks for watching.
10:47 joe, where can i find these felt strips?
Is there a way to restore the hard rubber back to soft rubber on the window weather stripping?
Not that I know of. It is better to maintain your car to prevent the damage in the first place.
@@3000GTGTORestoration I been researching that you can use a 2:1 Mixture of Wintergreen Oil and isopropyl alcohol to soften the rubber. Could you test it on the old hard weather stripping?
Wintergreen will work on rubber but the manufacturer has told me that this is not actually rubber. It is a very soft plastic.
What often works with materials similar to this is to coat it in petroleum jelly and set it outside on a sunny day to soak up some UV rays for a while (time depends on how high UV index is). Once it has become pliable again, clean off any remaining residue from the petroleum jelly.
Dear sir, do you think you could post a link of a flocking tape you using ? I see there are many of them a i want make sure i buy right one. Cheers !
Very sorry but I buy in bulk from manufacturer. I would suggest that you contact any supplier that you find and tell them what it is for. If they sell you the wrong product, you can return it.
It's a 3000gt 1993 sl
Greetings from Bolivia, my question is, is there a way to lower the glass manually without power? I ask this because I take pieces out of the junkyards thnks!
Yes you can. If you unplug the door harness from the motor and apply direct 12v power and ground properly you can raise or lower the window. I have done this with both a battery and a simple mini jump pack. You might even be able to accomplish it with a battery from a cordless drill, but I haven't tried that yet.
You can just cut the regulator tether cord and the window will fall if you don’t need the regulator
OMG i just face this issue due to winow replacement. You are reading my mind 😁
