Des sons de cloches qui me font penser a Grisey ou Olivier Greif... et plein d'autres choses ! Ces pièces sont très riches, et tellement bien écrites pour l'instrument. J'adore !!
Thanks for uploading. I try to keep an open mind, but this type of music really makes me think contemporary music has lost its way. The 5th piece was interesting, but that was because it was grounded by the Coventry Carol
It's funny how the Christian aspects of Messiaen's musical language can be so unapparent until another composer tries to make a Christmas piece and it comes out sounding exactly like him in parts
This is terrific stuff but I would never guess it was about Christmas, but, I am Jewish, so I am not qualified to make any kind of judgement about little baby Yeshua.
This really puts me in that festive spirit.
You should listen to Alfred Schnittke's arrangement of Silent Night. Nothing is more festive than that.
For all the viewers, Merry Crumbmas
more like Crumbass
Merry crampus lol. By the way i like this piece. Also Crumb.
Bah Crumbug
And a Merry Chrysler to you, good sir!
Christmas is a winter solstice festival, and you don't get much more wintery than this. Cold bells in the dark!
I much rather listening to this piece than traditional Christmas songs.
Beautiful : thanx for sharing !
this is so festive
Molto bello! In certi passaggi mi ricorda Messiaen. 💖💖💖💖
Crumb’s music is always so delicate and sensitive. He was a real master.
I don’t normally find George Crumb’s music appealing, but these pieces were interesting I thought. Thanks for uploading.
Very interesting work. Parts of it sound Messiaen-esque.
Indeed, I also noticed that. Especially how the chords resonate.
Even the titles are Messiaen-esque!
If you love Messiaen's _Vingt Regards sur l'enfant-Jésus_ , you're bound to love this. I love them both.
Especially no.5 with its bird song like figures.
I thought the same!

one of my favorite pieces i've ever worked on (as a pianist)

And that's what Christmas is all about, Schoenberg!
I don’t here Schoenberg in any of this.
"Adoration of the Magi" was nice.

Looking at the score I thought it was gonna sound way worse.

Yaaaawwwnnn!
Dw, you can just stick to regular Christmas carols 🥰
Horror movie music?
