1967. Winning the European Cup. The first team from Scotland or indeed any other British nation to win it & we did it with a team of local lads, almost all to a man born in the vicinity of our glorious Glasgow East End home. THAT is our biggest achievement in our history. This was pretty damn special though. Goosebumps every time 🍀
Scottish Football was special in that decade what is forgotten is Rangers got to the final of the Cup winners cup losing 1-0 in extra time with indeed Kilmarnock getting to the semi final of what was then the Fairs cup a feat for Scottish football that will never be repeated.
@@paulwilson2651 Remember that Celtic did get to the EC final in 1970, beaten 2-1 by Feyenoord, and Rangers won the CWP in 72, plus Celtic had semi and quarter-finals just after that in the early to mid-70s (not sure about other teams, sorry). Then there was the great 1983 CWP and Super Cup wins by Aberdeen, plus Dundee Utd getting to the European Cup semi in 84 and UEFA Cup Final in 87. The 70 and 80s were also a great time for Scottish Football, and Celtic imo, were cheated out of a CWP final in 85 with the Rapid Vienna farce. 60,000 fans goose bump atmosphere , I was behind the goal when Tony Watt stuck it in the net all around me pinching ourselves ,a night a dream came true
One awesome night in our great club's history, especially since it was the day after the 125th anniversary of the club being founded. I couldn't leave my seat for about 5 minutes after it was over. I hadn't felt that emotion since we won the European Cup
Was there that night, incredible game, incredible atmosphere, hail hail mon the hoops
We also played them and lost 3- 2 but it felt like we won that's when Ronaldinho said Celtic park had great energy and great fansxcx Shanna
Celtic and Rangers have two of the biggest and most passionate fan bases in the world but unfortunately the finances in scottish football are so abysmal now that we dont get to see nights like this very often anymore 😢
Celtic haven’t been themselves this season but Scottish football is generally on the up at the moment imo
@@pjw6273 Certainly helps havin both teams competing at european level again but for me the aberdeens, hibs, hearts etc should all be doing far more for the cause than they ha e done in the last even 20 years
@@C1872-e3n hopefully this new 3rd European competition gives them a chance to actually progress but we’ll have to wait and see
@@C1872-e3n And how do we do that mate on the budgets we have? Actually, the old firm should be doing more for the cause since you have the finances that these clubs don't have.
You sir, are brilliant ❤️
It was awesome man
That’s why we one best fans in the world 🌎 hail hail 💚💚💚💚💚💚
One of the best You’ll never walk alone’s I ever heard was at the stiliyan petrov charity match, but there all amazing tbh HH
Simply the best fans in the world.. You don't know football if you don't understand the atmosphere at celtic Park on champions league night or old firm games. 64, 500 fans.
You should watch Celtic v lazio both games they were amazing and the atmosphere was brilliant
@kevin mulligan same
Atmosphere was incredible. Obama elected the same day gave the impression anything was possible. Arguably the Spartak victory was more important
Absolutely amazing 🍀🍀
You need too be there too feel the energy it’s mind blowing 🏴🇺🇸🇮🇪🏴🇺🇸🇮🇪
I am a Celtic fan and I have gone to lots of games and I love it you should go
I cried after leaving the stadium 😂
