3:15 "Space suit lying on control room floor " my favourite lyrics, I'm 15 years late to your party but I've waited 48 years for this Blake 7 fusion, Thank You Sir and God bless you for this.
Blakes Seven would never have worked so well without Avon, Vila and also the arch-enemy and principal villain Servalan herself in the series and also B7 when it lost Blake went to the dogs.
I lost my heart to a starship trooper, his name was Avon. Then I lost it again when I noticed the man who brought him to life. I haven t seen my heart in 30 + years. I m okay with that. He s still bloody brilliant.
In a sense yes. In many respects Avon was based on the Cicero (James Mason) of the "Five fingers". Clever, cynical, Cicero uses his criminal talents to advance himself. His plan is to get rich and find himself some exotic out of way place to enjoy his creature comforts. He likes girls too, but doesn't trust them. But has plans on being attached to the exotic female who is his accomplice. She betrays him, hence he reveals his liking for girls is his undoing. In rapid order he hatches a new plan and gains a vast amount of counterfeit cash (unbeknownst to him). Retires to Rio living the high life. But his bank manager discovers the cash is counterfeit. Like Avon, Cicero sees the funny side of his predicament. On another level Avon is Hamlet. He could play life safe, but the ghost of his spiritual father (Blake) eggs him on, to claim his rights. Avon has turned against his original plans. The power offered by the Liberator and Orac is his new game. He is now excited by power and likes playing the warlord. He doesn't seem that enamored of Blake's revolution. But see's it as his path to power. Avon is the middle ground between Servalan's brutal tyranny and Blake's high minded idealism. The Liberator crew at points find themselves trusting Avon's instincts over Blake's idealism. He starts out a bit soft, but his new experiences toughen him. And he likes the new self. He becomes the Starship trooper. And ironically leads the fight in the highpoint of the series, the Andromedian invasion. Ultimately Avon was a man, and he liked playing cowboy. And I guess women would want his baby? Nor is Avon in an absolute sense a cynic. He believes in keeping his word. A bit of of bad guy, but at times strongly driven by loyalty and honor.
Its funny how so may of those alien planets they have their shoot outs on look like hampstead heath. Still makes a change from the professionals where they always chase the bad guy down to the deserted ship yard for the final fight scene.
Blake's 7 is a space western masterpiece! Full of strange aliens, intrigue, light psychokenetic powers, and of course, space rebels blasting the hell out of armies of goggle-headed, blue-coated baddies!
No mate, leave it alone where it is. No more reboots of anything, Hollywood ruined Star Wars and other great SciFi films have been remade (tarnished). While I hope "Dune" fairs better than the original, let's leave Blake, Avon and Co well alone. I think Jacqueline, Paul & Gareth would want it to stay that way....
Really? They a had a habit of dying! But continue with the sex & death theme all the way! Maybe a theme of Goldfinger for Avon? "It's the kiss of death from Mr. Avon"!
I just watched a video where they cut this song with footage from Starshit Troopers. The movie sucks and does this song no justice. This version is much better and really captures the spirit of the song.
@Apophisguard Have fun! BTW sending you a friend invite. Someone with a Stargatey name, likes Blakes 7 and uses the word nowt in a sentence, is someone I should be friends with I think.

I must be daft, I cried watching this because it ties together two things that really catch the theme of the time. Fabulous, well done! Excellent vid
Paul Darrow = Galactic Thrill!! It's official!! 💫💫💫

Fantastic! Times that will sadly never return. Did anyone notice Glynis Barber as a Mutoid in one scene. She later played SOOLIN!
Absolutely brilliant. I loved Blake’s seven and this just made it perfect. RIP to all those we have lost 🙁
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've already got another B7 music vid planned.
Avon, snogging his way around the galaxy... Love it.
The Kiss of Death they called it... everyone he kissed, died soon afterwards...
Blake's 7 forever!
Even "Squee" cannot fully express my fangirly glee.
I cannot thank you enough.
Bravo 👍
Who needs Dr Who. Bring back Blakes 7!

Ah, splendid!
Good old B7. And I like the way you fitted the clips to the lyrics - and the SFX as well.
Really enjoyed that!
Incredible! You must have perfect recall of every frame of every episode. =D
1:35 Ooooooh, DAYNA!!!
Excellent!!! I d give anything to have been one of the women being kissed by Avon. Ohhhh.
Really? They a had a habit of dying! But continue with the sex & death theme all the way! Maybe a theme of Goldfinger for Avon? "It's the kiss of death from Mr. Avon"!
gangulf What about Dayna? ;)
That's really cool, SGA, well done mate, great video comp and cracking backing track, very well done mate
omg, fangasm.
A proper BBC production from the 70s. What was that woman's name , Savolan, as a child , she scared me.
Great video
Phew - that must have taken a while to put together! Excellent stuff - enjoyed!
This has more of the lyrics than the previous 2 search results for "I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trooper lyrics"
@Nautilus1972
True. But if anyone wanted to find the track it's listed under Sarah Brightman.
Love it! Well done!
Love this.
Thank you. Glad you liked it. :)
Actually I cheated and swiped the CGI off the DVD intros, though there is an original bit from the series at 2.41.
Epic!!! YES!!!!
That was really good.
' a small deviation'? Poor Tarrant.
Good stuff! Well done with that :-)
On the "droid devoid of emotion" line, you could have used a shot of Michael Gough's robot servant from "Volcano." Just a thought. :-)
1:51 who is that actress?
Servalan was played by Jacqueline Pearce.
@@lightworker5456 Okay 👍, thanks.
2:10 Is that Famke Janssen? If not it is her twin.
That is FREAKIN' ADORABLE!! Excellent job, how fun!!!
@Apophisguard Thanks!! It is indeed Colin Baker. He played Bayban the Butcher in the season 3 episode The City at the Edge of the World.
Will do. It may take me a few days cos I sometimes need to do some research... sitting watching my DVDs with a glass of wine. *wink*
great vid
Kinda funny that clip had "Oh Baby" played over it.
@SciFiFangirlsFTW
Thank you!! I really enjoyed making this one.
I wouldnt mind being thrown at the floor by Avon LOL
@Apophisguard I have them all on DVD. But they are here on UA-cam. Look for PopcornOracle's channel. Starts with B7 1a (The Way Back)
How is this not the official video yet?
Hot Gossip wasn't it? Brightman was just a dancer in it ..
This is very cool...nicely done :)
Didi you do the cgi work?
Like it a lot!!
Thank you. :) Glad you liked it. :)
okay...how'd I miss Blacke's 7?
I just watched a video where they cut this song with footage from Starshit Troopers. The movie sucks and does this song no justice. This version is much better and really captures the spirit of the song.
It's ironic that this video fits the song so well. In 'Blakes 7' the Starship Troopers were the evil enemy.
Thank you!
Thank you! I hope to make it up to Tarrant in my next vid. ;)

@BlackestEyes1963
No problem! I'm a Vila fan myself.
Glad you liked the vid. :-)
what about gan?
What's that last shot from?
did you smash it?
😂😂😂
Soolin can't even slap someone without looking wooden! She is the weakest link.
