Hi, this is Explorer Dilip Adhikary channel vlg. The 1,000 year-old Hindu temples of Khajuraho, India in Madhya Pradesh are known for featuring very erotic statues. These highly ornate temples built in the Nagara North Indian style are in the Western area of the Khajuraho Group of Monuments. As my very informative tour guide told me, there were originally 85 temples but only 22 remain. The most famous temple here is the Lakshmana Temple which is a beautiful example of Nagara North Indian architecture. We also see the Pratapeshwar (Harmony) Temple, the Varaha Temple, the Kandariya Mahadeva Temple, the Devi Jagadamba Temple, and the Chitragupta Temple. The Khajuraho temples are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are truly worth a visit!
