Your Questions Answered:
How Will The Electronic Form 4 Speed Up the ATF Approval Process?
The ATF’s new electronic version of the Form 4 will greatly expedite the time required to make these transfers. When a transfer applicant or dealer enters the data electronically, the data will now be transmitted digitally. This cuts out the repetitive need for data entry and validation.
What Does the New ATF Efile Form 4 Mean For Your Current Order?
If you have already started your application through the paper process, then you will need to stay on that path. It is not recommended to withdraw paper applications. Remember: you’re already in line, so why jump out and go to the back of a different one?
ATF has stated, “any withdrawals of pending paper applications will result in a one-year delay.”

429 days and counting since I placed my order with SC. I found out on March 4th the ATF had at last approved my application but it now seems that the local law-enforcement notification may be lost in transit with the USPS. When that is resolved, I am sure there will be another snafu-prone step before it can at last ship to me. I will tell you that ordering this was a mistake. I wanted to own the Banish 30 as a means to help preserve my diminished hearing and as an interesting device from a technical standpoint. By the time I get it, it will not have been worth the wait, the paperwork and what will be the additional burden on my heirs. Neat devices, far too much trouble. By the time you get yours, the benefits of ownership will be far outweighed by the bad vibes built up during the process. Don’t get too exited about this “new process”, remember that it only covers part of the duration, albeit the longest one, and will not result in the device reaching you in anything like a reasonable time compared to the value received. Wear double hearing protection, then save your money, donate the money or put it in your grandkids college savings plan.
They took 2 months from the date of receiving my prints to even file the order. I asked if 2 months was the norm and they said they were backlogged due to ATF rejections. 2 months!!!!
I was notified by SC my paperwork was submitted to the ATF in February 21. However, a call to the ATF revealed it wasn't submitted until June 2021. How did Silencer Central respond? Deleted my FB post and blocked my profile.
@@BLOWN287 sounds about right definitely not how you do business
SC messed up my form 4 and I waited 12 months to be denied. They also only gave me a 75% refund. Bunch of crooks
Ugh this isn’t what I wanted to hear. I really want to get a suppressor for my Ruger 10/22. I’ve been using the CCI quiet lately and it’s been really making me want to buy a suppressor. I would like to go the legal route because there is no way I’m willing to risk getting into trouble over hearing protection. But I can see why people go the illegal route with solvent traps because they make it way to hard for something that shouldn’t be regulated in the first place.
They make the process super easy. However they don’t control the ATF. Going on 180 days for a can. Can has been paid for months. I did a SBR eform on my own and had it approved in 60 days.
The wait is definitely a pain, but it'll be worth it! Thanks for your business.
Coming up on 14 months now and nothing. I get the "we understand your frustration" replies or the updates to say there are no updates.
Billy, Once we submit the paperwork to the ATF we have no control over how the ATF processes submissions, and we do not hear anything back from the ATF until we receive your approval.
@@SilencerCentral I just found out my paperwork wasn't submitted for several months. Vice Feb 21, it wasn't submitted until June 21. That's not the ATFs fault. You blocked my FB account so I assume this account will be next. A bit of an overreaction don't you think? All because I'm just trying to get some answers.
@@SilencerCentral yea, but when it takes two months to get to the ATF for the review, someone is lying. Yea, I paid in full April of 2021 and one of the cans did not make it to the ATF until June of 2021. Quit blaming the ATF process on your bad customer service. I wont mention the parts I ordered two months ago from you guys and still have not received them.
@@SilencerCentral I don’t believe that for some reason. You have sponsored people that have gotten cans that filled after others and well after some but they already have theirs and have posted tons of videos with them.
I purchased a suppresor on December 13th, hadn't heard anything for 2 months (February 13th). Was told mine would be efile. Called, and was told mine was paper filed. Getting different stories from different representatives. Asked about paying the restocking fee to get some of my money back. Was told again that mine was guaranteed efile, and there was no need to restock suppresor. At this point i don't even care anymore. Starting to have doubts about Silencer Central bro.
Same story here. Ordered mine at a show the week before you. Supposed to be efiled, they say it was paper after the fact. Out of curiousity. Did you do payment plan? I did and have a feeling it will be mysteriously approved after our final payment this month.
@@MrFarmerfran00 I did the payment plan. Last payment was 2 months ago. Still nothing brother. After these 3 I'm done with suppresors period 😂
Good to know. Thanks for the info. Biggest selling point was the relatively short wait time.....learned my lesson.
@@MrFarmerfran00 Supposedly some guy got approved in 9 days! They flew out and personally hand delivered his can to him. The CEO did.
Was it Hunter Biden?
Bought mine from you guys Feb,2021.
Forms to ATF in May,2021, according to ATF.
Called them yesterday Feb,2022.
They said it wasn’t to an examiner yet, keep calling back because it’s been over 8 months.
Most frustrating thing I’ve ever done. Maybe you guys could redo it in e-file and I’d get it sooner ?
Unfortunately the ATF has stated that any canceled paper submissions will cause a 1-year delay. As frustrating as the wait is, we advise to stick it out.
@@SilencerCentral
Absolutely going to stick it out.
Hey Rick, I bought mine in January, got to the atf in March, and just got my approval. 11 months on the dot. The govt isn’t quick by any means 😂 so hold on buddy!!! You’re close!
@@UnstoppableFPS
Thank you sir. You know how it feels. I hear they really are good cans.
Ordered my banish 30 yesterday. Pretty stoked about it.
Have you received it yet?
@@garrettandeski3842 no. It’s officially been 95 days now after my eform was sent off
@@Wessonjb i presume you got it now?
@@Number1HockeyPlaya sure didn’t. I was rejected in Nov because Silencer Central screwed up my paperwork with my birthplace. They put down Biloxi Missouri instead of Mississippi. They would only refund me 75% and kept my other 25% for a future in store credit for up to a year which sucks if you ask me.
@@Wessonjb I thought their website says if they screw up they'll redo for free and refund you the tax stamp?
Got my username and pin last night. I am super excited to get my Banish 30. Can’t wait! Thanks for making the process easy. This will be my first suppressor.
That's Awsome. You will never shoot unsuppressed again!
how long did that take ya?
@@CraftierBOB I am at about 100 days on the wait from ATF. Longer than that if you include all the paper work and setting up of trust. Made first call on January 25. ATF wait started about March 15
You want hear a peep from them if you have paid in full other than monthly emails stating the ATF is currently reviewing .
@@godsdozer shit I don’t even get that. I paid mine off 2 weeks later and haven’t heard a peep since. 130+ days now
Thirty to sixty days my a$$. Bought mine from them right when forms went digital. I'm 5 months in now.....
They do send emails letting us know they are waiting on ATF, but are not responding to any of my other email inquiries. Just wanted to know if there is an adaptive muzzle device that would transition from a 1/2 x 28 barrel to my much anticipated Banish 30. Most of the ones I see on other sites only work with other suppressors.
Good info
Good info..or blowing smoke up our 6. Read through the comments section. Lots and lots of comments from dissatisfied customers on how SC is sitting on the orders and showing no urgency in the customers behalf.
@@CrazyPalidin57 because he is sponsored I filled way before him and he already has his something isn’t right.
Now I wish I waited to buy my banish 30 gold. It could be a year or more. I just missed this e file window.
I bought a daniel defense, almost two years ago, and im still waiting on the product to be approved. Did I do something within the trust fund to mess things up?
So, what if I apply and do not get approved for some reason. Am I just out of the money?
If I already have a UPIN, do I need to reupload my finger prints?
I freaking ordered a banish 30 gold like one month before electronic filing came out 🤦♂️… At least my next one will be faster lol
When you're ready for the next one, let us know!
@@SilencerCentral I will definitely be doing that .. got one more payment on my banish gold and then ordering the banish 45 I’m stoked .. you Guys have been great if it wasn’t for you I probably would’ve never got a suppressor you guys made it incredibly easy and I appreciate it
@@TexasShotz Thank you for the awesome words! We have a Banish 45 calling your name!
doesn't matter what you use. It's all up to the ATF. The advertising seems to lead buyers that it will be faster. Paperwork is supper fast and help is awesome, payment even faster LOL but they don't control the ATF. Once the ATF has approved your application, they have 45 days to send it to Silencer Central. You will receive an email and/or text from as soon as we receive your approved tax stamp. Then the CLEO has to be notified. Then the last form and signature. Perhaps take final payment once the process is complete?
I was thinking about ordering from silencer central but the BBB rating is really bad and so are the reviews 🤔 I think I will stay away from them
Will this speed up my written Form 4, or do I still have to wait forever?
I’m wondering the same thing. I’m assuming nothing changes for us.
No this will not speed up the process if you submitted a paper form before the e-forms. In fact they said if you canceled it and then tried to do an E form it could take up to a year just to cancel it. Just keep on waiting and forget that you even ordered it. At this point I will be surprised if the E forms are any more efficient. Nothing the government touches is efficient.
@Silencer Central So I was under the impression that only the person that signed up for eForms could submit the eForm. IE no other person or entity could use the username and pin. How does that effect how SC submits eForms? Thanks!
You are correct. Customers will have go through a certification process with our eForms team.
It effects SC's ability to process applications efficiently. Orders take 2 months from them receiving the fingerprints to SC actually placing the order with the ATF. TWO MONTHS!!
How can someone you sponsor fill everything out a month atleast after me and already has his cans. I was told 30-90 days its been 90 and crickets.
Ordered me 2nd one.. it's a race to see which one I get first. Banish 30 or banish 45
Thanks for your repeat business!
10 months and counting
takes 2 months from time of purchase to placing the order with the ATF.
🙄
I have two Banish 30's on order. The first paper file is at 429 days, nothing. The second by eFile is at 189 days. Stop telling people the BS average times you talk about. When I bought I was told 9 month average on the paper file and 90 days on the eFile. That was obviously a load of crap. I know it's not in your hands but be honest with customers when they purchase.
Does having a CCW from Az make the process any faster?
No, it does not.
Hey thanks for the great video. I just got my approval last week and filled out the 4473 you emailed me. How long does it usually take to mail them after that’s all done? My 11 month wait is almost over it’s killing me! Haha
Very Close to being done! We have to send out a CLEO and wait for the delivery notice. Once that is complete then we will begin the shipping process.
@@SilencerCentral awesome!
@@SilencerCentral
Is the CLEO the notice to local Sheriff ? I work for mine. He says he doesn’t have to sign them anymore, just be notified ?
Also, what tumbler do you guys recommend for cleaning the can ?
And also to UFPS, not meaning to hijack your post.
I feel like we’re like brothers now…..
😉💪🇺🇸
Correct: they just need to be notified.
@@rickthewelder haha no prob dude. Mine finally came in. Got to test them out over the weekend. Wicked cool!!!
Wonderful company until they have your money, they sit on the forms for 2-3 months before submitting them to AFT causing a further delay and sell suppressors listed as in stock but aren't once you pay for them causing more delay to an already long process $6000+ is enough with these guys. Time to try somebody else.
Wait so instead of 11 months now it’ll be 2? Might have to order another from you guys..
Give us a call! eForms will greatly shorten the wait time compared to the previous paper submissions!
Don't believe their videos, trust me I know.
Won’t be no 2 months Im 5 now and nothing
About to hit 7 months and still nothing. Definitely not any faster
👍👍
they told me 100 days. its not 100 days
The ATF just updated their timetable to say 180 days, so hopefully yours will be approved soon!
Don't use Silencer Central. I started my application on June 26th. They have managed to mess up my application so many times that it's July 30th and still haven't filed my form 4 application. Every time they mess up the application I have to reschedule the certification call and that is another week delay over and over. DONT USE THEM. They are just as bad if not worse than the ATF.
Siwincer
Use this company at your own peril. They are awful to deal with
