I’m stuck inside in the AC on a super hot day in NYC, and getting to have HP time with Molly is making the day even more delightful. I still don’t know how this happened when my friend and I went in September, but we got to the park before rope drop and WALKED ON for Hagrid’s, Forbidden Journey, and Flight of the Hippogriff all within the span of an hour or less. The HP magic worked for us that day for sure

Thank you for all your Universal tips! My son really wanted to do the Hogwarts queue but not ride (he gets motion sick). I told him he could do the queue and exit before the ride. He didn’t believe me. I told him it was a “Molly tip” and…all was good! He did the queue, exited, and was very happy.

Molly you are so right. That first turn into Diagon Alley can not be beat no matter how many times you've done it. It's incredible. You're instantly transported to the Wizarding world.
I rarely watch the Universal content but, well, it's Molly. I've seen the Harry Potter movies but wouldn't say I'm a fan but I would like to see the two lands. Since I'm not interested in anything else in Universal and probably wouldn't ride the rides, it's a lot of money to get park hoppers to just walk through and explore those two lands. Oh, well, there is always UTube.
I go there tomorrow for the first time! I have binged all you videos in preparation 😂💙
Sunday we got haggrids at dusk with 45 mins. it was the best day of my life!!!!!!!

I have the same wand! Narcissus Malloy’s. The spikes give you a great grip to hold on to.
There were a lot of Kids tops I liked but the didn't have adult sizes which was a real shame, the world is so Amazing and immersive, the music really helps make it, well done Molly you are magical too, your my favourite Slytherin after Snape
I did like Harry Potter Forbidden Journey a lot and it is much better once they ditched the 3-D glasses. The last time I rode it was at Uni Hollywood in 2016 and they were still using them. I wish all the Uni and Disney attractions that use 3D glasses would get rid of them as well - Including Remy. The technology is there.

Actually, in the book, Umbridge used “Defensive Magical Theory” as the textbook for the DADA class. The “Dark Arts Defense: Basics for Beginners” book was only used in the movie (and it’s the title of the first chapter of the Defensive Magical Theory book).🤓
Yes! thank you for spreading the word - - Hagrid's is not for early admission, it's for VERY early admission! Nearly ruined our day starting our trip with that crazy long wait.

Even though I'm Gryffindor my favorite area is Knockturn Alley.
When we went we only rode one HP ride cuz the wait times for everything was so long but still loved just being there and doing wand magic was a lot of fun
Do single riders for hagrids. You have to wait in the initial line but I walked onto hagrids twice in a row during early park admission. We rode it twice then ate at 3 broomsticks and as we were walking towards the express we saw the party that was in front of us during the initial line just then getting off of hagrids. When someone asked me what is a NOT MISS in Universal I always say the 3 Brothers (Deathly Hallows) puppet show - it was amazing
I don’t enjoy larger rollercoasters. But I LOVE HP. Do you think Hagrid’s ride will be too much? I can handle rides like twister, I just don’t like going upside down or huge drops.
I get hot butterbeer and a black coffee and mixed it and share that....
fun fact, you can walk through the Gringotts cue and dont have to go through the ride if you dont want to. you also have to yell well done dragon!
The switch to so many rides being simulations is awful for people like me who get motion sickness. I hate to miss out on so much
Any chance you could book a HP vacation using Universal to see what a 3day trip would look like? They include 2 breakfasts and a magica portrait and I'm curious if its worth it.

@@krisb3576 my plan is to spend 5 days at universal for a more laid back vacation. With all the planning you need to do for Disney and so little perks these days I would rather spend my vacation relaxing. Trying to decide if getting the HP vacation package is worth it or not
I have done a 5 day universal trip twice, I love it and get to see all the hidden details. I watch all the Diagon alley shows, Bourne Stuntacular, multiple MIB. Not many breakfast choices at either Universal or IOA so I would like HP breakfast, but it’s up

5 days if at Cabana Bay or higher end allows you to pool hop to better resorts That’s great! And of course the premier hotels offer express passes for each day you stay!

Oof forbidden journey made me super nauseous the first and last time i rode it and my wife and i even got stuck on it for like 10 mins.

I no longer go to universal with my family when they do their universal day. Most of the rides make me queasy so it’s not worth the cost to go. Your videos give me the fix I need! Caveat…. I go about every third time

Hi, how long does it take to do universal nowadays? When I was younger you can do both in a day. Taking a 7 year old that is around 4’3” so some rides may be out.
I think it depends on how big of Harry Potter fans you are. I could easily spend a whole day just in those lands. Also depends on time of year but probably at least 2 days one for each park. My family can spend a whole week there

Does the gringotts ride make anyone motion sick? I’d love to ride it but I get motion sickness easily

Hi Molly Paul from the UK I have been watching your video's for some time as you are always asking for what we want to see my video sergestion/big ask is for single riders single travelers I know that's you every day but heavy on the as much as you can do in the time you have ie please get to MK at 10am so no rope drop, no genie, no genie+, no IAS, in fact this is the point no cell phone as believe it or no some people still do not have a phone, so if you need to know the wait times ask a guest or look at screens but not your phone screen in fact leave it in the car, please eat at 12 midday no mobile order just walk up to the quick service & order something BBQ chicken I guess in fronter land you don't need to do everything just as much as you can as a single rider but this is the kicker only on a weekend sat or sun good luck I will be watching thanks Paul xxx.
Anyone from the U.K. got any tips when it comes to using your phone in the US? I’m coming for a solo trip and not sure how the wifi is in universal? Because I’m coming solo in terms of safety as well as queuing entertainment I’m considering buying a US SIM card, as the company I’m with (virgin) charges everything in the US as extra. I’m also probably going to need a new phone before I go, so if you know of any U.K. companies that do good US deals that would also be helpful!
I believe three has a travel bundle that works in the US. So it should just be a SIM switch.
I’m with three and they just use your internet data as per normal for the first 15gb or something? And texts and calls are included. This is with mine anyway :)
How much of the queue will I miss in the castle if I use the express pass?
You will miss the mirror of erised. For the most part you won’t miss much else but be prepared to step to the side to watch Dumbledore in his office and the classroom scenes

You likely know express does not apply to Hagrids. You will have to stand in line.
