I'm surprised people seem to be warming back to skinny jeans so quickly. They had a chokehold on us for like 15 years so I was expecting them to stay away for longer.

the trend cycle is definitely accelerating as our attention spans have shortened

@nina-w i think that the trend cycle has also been artificially accelerated by the short video format. As watchers and viewers we are scrolling so much, fueled by dopamine rushes, that we have so much more pass by our eyes. Meanwhile creatives are having to find new ways to stand out faster and faster to have a chance of gaming the almighty algorithm. I think you are right, we have much shorter attention spans, but we also arent given time to absorb anything anymore.

I will never do low rise or skinny jeans again. As a middle aged woman, I've been there and done that several times in my life, and they are no longer flattering on my body type. I still like the barrel jeans. I think they look so chic.
