I'm a pretty new player, and I got both Harumasa (free) and Miyabi. Sure, Miyabi feels like a boss character turned playable without the nerfs, but she feels too good. It's like, effortless, and you can't feel the difficulty in killing the mobs at all (lore accurate tbh). Harumasa however, is really complex and hard to use, and you could almost feel how responsive he is to play. I'm sorry for the lack of words, but he feels so fucking good to use. I'm not that good at the game, so learning how to play him felt much more difficult and rewarding.
My main is miyabi, but i only switch to her if the stituation is dire or i need an advantage in the battle, most of the time i fight, common enemies and mini boss with other agent.
I remember when Yanagi first got released that there were concerns that she's hard to play because of her stance changes but she's braindead simple to play compared to Harumasa. He's the real deal when in comes to "hard to play".
People gassed Yanagi up for no reason, since not only is her stance easy to manage, but the other big concern I saw was her survivability during her slower combo strings, and between her frequent skills + her jumping stance offering a million fucking i-frames, you almost never get hit.
I still don't understand Yanagi lol. I'm cool with Harumasa cuzz it's pretty straight forward once you understand you need the beacons to pop off. But I'm still stupid not understanding what to do with Yanagi.
That whole fiasco still makes me laugh, yanagis kit is one of the simplest kits to understand, shes plays relatively braindead, the gacha community really gives me cause of concern at times
you use the word overcapping before explaining what overcapping is. having a keylogger that shows your inputs on screen would help people understand your proposed rotation
Overcapping? Harumasa can only have 6 orb on the field..existing orb will automatically apply prison(x) when he generate another ..i think he explains enough for me to understand
I'm assuming english isn't your first language? Cap as a verb means limit, so overcapping just means exceeding the limit or beyond the limit. The limit for harumasa's orbs on the field are 6 before you turn it into x prison, either by his charge attack (him aiming the bow) or by overcapping it. And what he meant by overcapping here is, make another 6 orbs on the field to automatically turn the previous 6 orbs into x prison, so that you don't waste time on the aim animation.
I managed to 2* Marionette with him m0s0 + Anby + Nicole on a pretty stuttery phone. (Same score as my Soldier + Lighter + Lucy for Pompeii) Give it some time and the general player base who actually learn to use him will find him very rewarding, not to mention that he doesn’t have an actually synergistic Drive Set right now. He’s very much a character that was given out for free so that players learn the game and actually take it seriously.
your 2 teams for deadly assault is exactly like mine lol I think it's just my skill issues that I couldn't get to 3* cause I've been seeing a lot of 3* Marionette vids on Haru. I also agree with you on the rewarding side of playing him. I have Miyabi M2 and it lowkey makes the game more boring to me cause whenever I play her I just braindead no dodge just click and I still clear every stage perfectly while playing Haru requires manual skill a lot
Thanks for the rundown in this tutorial, really appreciate it. Would definitely appreciate more freezeframes, slowmo, and button sequences with conditions for more clarity, cuz his combos are not as simple or clear. Also thanks hoyo for releasing harumasa for free. I love the gimmicky nature of his kit, with lots of room for skill expression, while providing enough quivers for casual play as well. He really solidifies himself as one of my current faves alongside qingyi and zhuyuan.
Great video! One of the most complete character gameplay guides I've seen for ZZZ. One thing I haven't seen you mention or do in this video is a THIRD option to initiate his Enhanced Dash Attack. It's kinda hidden away in his toolkit under Basic Attack, so not a lot of players know this, but it works like this: After the 5th hit of his Basic Attack combo, a Special or EX Special, or Chain Attack, you can HOLD the Special button for a set-up attack: Harumasa will do a spin and fire a Falling Feather arrow (this doesn't consume energy) launching all present quivers and marking the enemy if they hit. If there's an enemy marked with X on the field, this arrow can immediately be followed up with a Normal Attack, which will turn into his Enhanced Dash Attack engager as if you were already dashing. So in short: 5th NA / Special / EX Special / Chain Attack > HOLD Special > NA In case of his Special and EX Special, you can just press and hold the Special button once until he starts spinning. Secondary presses might cause you to use your EX Special by accident and waste energy. It's definitely slower than just dashing, but it's still nice to know this option exists.
Upvote since this is an amazing explanation of quicker ULTs and specific timings of how to do it for a couple usable characters. Amazon in-depth video.
When I accidentally found out if there are 6 quivers on stage before an EX, chain attack or anomaly build up, he doesn’t need you to aim to activate his enhanced dash attack after you perform those moves my damage with him got better
I didn't know this omg. I always struggle to charge attack to put mark especially on mobile. For some reason I managed to get three stars in deadly assault.
There is a visual cue on his bow, if it glow (especially it flash or blinked) then you can do dash attack, it is so that you don't have to look up to see his stack
i discovered overcapping completely by accident just my messing around and enjoying his animations... then the dmg i saw shocked me (pun). you're right, it does take some planning but ooooh its so satisfying. thank you for this video. your stun advice and animation cancel helped a lot... he got crazier
but prob zhu yuan is higher since people got used to her kit while harumasa is still "new" or prob just got him after taking a break but still harumasa should be higher than this
ngl, I don't think that the devs should make characters easy to use. I like Miyabi, but I really wish that she is as complex as Harumasa is. Learning curve is an important part of getting people to main your character, although it will make them less accessible to others. Sure, Miyabi has solid reasons to be easy to use, since she's a Void Hunter and can deal with anything easily, and she's popular so they need to make sure that everyone's able to play her, but that's besides the point. They should make more characters like Harumasa that can deal tons of damage, but require skills so people who really like the playstyle will main him, and thus m6 him, and thus make them more money because the whales comes from people who otp a character in other games anyway
@@soep19skills? Whats so complex about him? His playstile is same as zhu., stun the enemy and chain attack with him, E skill nicole quickswap to harumasa Hold Ex dash attack tap E theb swap to nicole Hold Ex quickswap to harumasa dash attack 4x then done. You dont even need to aim, just make sure to monitor those orbs for over stack. It aint even that deep., hes low on rankings because his multipliers are dogshh, if you have zhuyuan and you are playjng harumsa on the robot boss then you are doing it wrong, lightning weakness doesnt mean you auto use harumasa, just use zhuyuan and you would be surprised even without aether. weakness she clears harumasa on that boss anyday. I have both so I know, with qingyi and rina m1/ nicole. I ma not talking about personal preference , If you want optimze the points then it is what it is. If you want complexity dont play gacha.
m6d him the other day because hes my favorite character, awesome guide! theres definitely a lot of weird quirks to him that hoyo is really adamant about not explaining, but im glad that theres dedicated people that actually really like this games mechanics and combat and care enough to try and make it more comprehensible for those who dont. learned a few things i didnt realize, too! thank you!
Man, I'm so glad I came upon your video. This is the exact team I had built and I've been struggling so hard, kind of regretting building Harumasa. But seeing these combos and that finale showing how to beat the very battle I've struggled so hard on is just so satisfying. I already knew I was probably the skill issue but I didn't know what to do. I'll be studying this more closely!
I enjoy his playstyle and use him as a hyper carry with Qingui and Rina since I have her M1 R1. Even tho everyone says it's not the most effective team for him.
@@waliscad Essentialy to be able to understand so many inputs, you want the video slowed down while its happening + visuals for what keys are pressed during, so you can kinda get it, when its so many things and no idea what they press it feels overwhelming and impossible :}
I feel like the 13 dash combo is the most mandatory to make harumasa effective. Beyond that, i personally think is just to squeeze out any other tech that can improve his damage, but i still respect people who uses the 19 dash combo and any tech beyond it. Pulling those move aint easy.
Tbh, i didn't know you weren't supposed to use nicole's EX only in stun windows. I probably won't try anything past the chain attack cancelling, but this was a great video, the combos look super cool.
Thanks for the video, it was really helpful for understanding how to play Harumasa better. I hope for this video or for any future videos like this that you would talk slower and make it easier to understand, like more words on the screen. I had to pause and replay a lot of times just to understand what you said or why you said that (even as simple as the benefit of overcapping from 4 attacks to 8).
In rare cases you can get x-mark applied on more than one enemy if they're nearby the targeted enemy. If you make sure to only hit one of them, you can double (or more, depending on the quantity of enemies) the amount of dash attacks
With base qingyi and Rina (With anom mastery 6) absolutely SHREDS enemies. I already loved his character but when he goes bang bang bang on the enemies with the dash attack it is so satisfying.
I find it funny how Miyabi who in lore had to train like crazy to know how to be as good as She is rn is super simple to play and Harumasa, a lazy bum of the group is probably the most complex character in ZZZ
Don't forget how batshit nutty he becomes at higher cinemas. I went all in on him and by god there's just something special about seeing him rip and tear through enemies while having spamming excess quivers because he has more prison stacks than he knows what to do with. Brimstone W engine is *really* fun for him.
Can't tell what I'm doing wrong... but I can't get him to retrigger the chain atk with his skill + ult cancel at 14:19. I pretty much copied what you did in Combo 2 in free training but can only get the chain atk to start once with nicole ult. Also I tested the skill + ult cancel and it works but only if I start the combo with it.
@@BladeCube1674 I'm not holding down skill or basic atk during the ult cancel. No matter what I do I can't retrigger the chain after nicole ult -> swap to harumasa -> harumasa ult. And this is against an elite mob.
@ turns out u can't do combo 2 against elite enemies, only boss enemies. The VR training only has elite enemies so thats why I couldn't pull it off. Works in Shiyu defense.
As someone who plays this on mobile a little(only option) I don't think there is a possible way to try to do some of his combos without wasting time The only mechanic they have for manual chain is to hold down basic or special attack while doing a heavy attack but if you hold down too long you just interrupt your dash attacks
@@Rangiku-cy3juWith controller how? To manual chain attack Haru slashes you have to hold Triangle while mashing square. Your thumb can’t do both at once when holding the controller
@@CarlDaCool168 You have bad news, but if you are willing to switch to a controller, there are cheap brands like gamesir or 8bitdo, but you said you only play on mobile for a little (only option), so I assumed you have a PC/laptop?
some aren't possible, such as switching backwards to nicole, however the manual dash attacks can be done as long as you hold down the special button with your index finger, and press the attack button with your middle finger. If you want nicole to come out, you'll have to manually swap twice to get to nicole. However as the guy in the video mentioned, if you don't enjoy doing these you can choose to not do them.
I have been using the "overcapping 6 quivers" strategy for a while and its convenient. Since my pc is not optimized 😅gotta do anything to lessen the complications of the combos.
When I initially pick up Harumasa, I'm thinking "oh man it's been a long time since I learn Dante combo", he needs heavy maintenance in order to play for maximum dps, harder than Ellen even (I main Ellen btw)
It feels like Harumasa being given out for free is Hoyo's way of proving the people who say the combat has no depth wrong. Unfortunately, I imagine most people will simply bench him and wait for a better limited electric DPS/anomaly to come along that's stronger and easier to use.
I am just glad there is agents like him when put in the work he rewards you. Of course you also have another end of this spectrum in Miyabi she just clears everything in her path LOL.
19:20 u triggered corruption after shock, u can proc corruption with nicole dash attack, but I suppose u were expecting nicole to do that perfect assist instead of Harumasa
As a haru main I can’t believe this guy is considered weak. He’s nuts and soooo good, just gotta play him right. Even neglecting all these combos, he does insane damage
Reddit for the pictures, and the source for the data is Prydwen. Its a mix of user submitted data and randomly searched users and only shows M0 characters.
The only thing these data shows is the importance of paying attension in stats class. The website say: 6842 players shared their 1.4.1 Shiyu Defense clear data with us (1423 of the sample are self-reported players that filled our form, 5419 are from random UIDs that we scanned). And they did not mentioned a single word about whether these players are even fully building the characters. On top of that, they use AVERAGE instead of percentile to make it worse....there may be a large number of under build character data drag down the average clear time. If they really want to gauge the character strengh or get a rough idea about how the clear time should be, they should at least look at 25% or even 10% percentile(people who care enough for how much clear time they get) excluding people using character with Mindscape.
prydwen in general is really miffy on their stat analysis. Not splitting 10%/25%/median and posting only "average" (which we're hoping is median) barely having data They don't have build data because that's not that easy to get, but it really sours the data
@@HandleName_CBThen it’s a really useless data for anyone. Meta players won’t get an actual fully build performance from the character, and discourage casuals from experimenting with characters.
Pretty good video but why did u arrow at 20:40 when he should already have x stacks on him because of the chain attack into ex ult cancel overcapping, maybe i missed something in the combo part of the vid idk
I think skill base is fine but they should make his UI better. like give some indicator for number of quiver or highlight attack button at max quiver or something similar. that would have improve his gameplay. This release of free 5 star feel half hearted like they're saying "since it's free, don't need to put too much effort in development".
I think Haru is best used as a burst DPS. STun the fool then swap in a biuffer then to Haru, EX special, charged arrow for the mark, dash combo, another EX dash special, repeat until done and swap back to stunner.
I've been trying out a team with them but I have M2 Harumasa and M1 Rina and Grace. Because there's no stunner I have the opportunity to play Harumasa as an on-field main dps. If he doesn't have any dash attacks or energy I use Grace to apply anomaly and her 4th basic to regen energy. (from her M1).
Thanks for all the Harumasa tutorial vids! I'm having a hard time distinguishing when you say "X" (prison stacks) vs "EX" (Special), would it upset you if I suggest calling "EX" as "E-X" instead?
Because of the stun windows keep running out whenever I try to do Harumasa's combos, I decided to play him like I would an Anomaly character, and it helps that triggering Anomaly Attribute (with an actual anomaly character like Burnice) generates 6 quivers. As soon as those pop out, I go unga bunga with all those X strikes... and getting his M1 really made it fun. I'll have to try your tech to tighten it a bit though 😊
Great explanations, thank you for the video! I love Harumasa's character and was super excited to try him out, but got hit with the hard wall of "Oh this guy's got a high skill floor". Hopefully I can put some of your tips to practice and him to good use! I was trying to build pity for Miyabi while getting M6 for Seth and Lucy when I accidentally pulled a Harumasa with like 54 pulls left before guarantee, so I've been wondering how you think Harumasa's M1 plays into the combos, with there being a higher cap on Electro-Prison and more stacks being applied. I know you don't have him M1, but I was just wondering your thoughts on it!
He's certainly not bad by any means, very impressed with how well his kit works, he just had to take a back seat while I built Miyabi. Even so, he more than carries his weight half-built in my section 6 team.
Funny enough this is the exact team I was starting to build today. I have Nicole and Anby up but I used to run Grace then Yanagi and now I am replacing Grace who just replaced Yanagi (because she is with Miyabi now) with Harumasa lol. Even after watching the video though it's still crazy how people get three stars on Deadly assault and I can barely get one with a nearly full maxed team😢
I mean prydwen ranks him highly and its obvious people still need to learn his combos. Doesnt help that hes easily the most difficult dps imo. Despite not having the best damage. Hes definitely good though
It’s a shame he’s a stun dps. When I saw that he got quivers by anomaly going off I was hoping he could work well as a secondary dps in anomaly teams but he doesn’t. He’s the only guy in section 6 and he doesn’t even pair well with his teammates
You can use Rina if you want to, she works well with him especially if you have m1 Rina, but usually Nicole gives more def shred than Rina, so overall there will be more dmg with Nicole than with Rina
Being unique doesn't mean great. He's rated low cause of the curvature of learning you need to do in order to deal with that amount of damage, especially compared to miyabi, which he's unfortunately faired with on release.
I'm having trouble actually manually chaining having to hold the very buttons I need to use my attacks make no sense when there so many other buttons they could have you press at least on Controller or keyboard It feels very uncomfortable to play that way in an otherwise smooth combat experience. Manual chain attack remap needs to be on top of the lists of qol features not raytracing.
me personally I think its cool that hes harder to play as long as his damage is slightly behind other electrics and he can still clear content when used correctly! just like how even tho dr ratio isnt the strongest he still put up solid dps and can clear content when used correctly!🙌🏽
0:16 what does these plots even mean....single character clear? There is no way this is team clear time. I tried two teams with 0+1 miyabi, there are no way she can be slower than 50s. It is hard to even find a video of miyibi team with 1m36s clear time.
It’s probably the average clear time data collected from many players, including new players and players who have no idea how to play the game. I have a friend who got lucky and got m1 Miyabi in 70 pulls, and he uses Miyabi’s charge atk whenever he wants, he doesn’t even know there are 6 stacks and 3 stage of said atk or how to gain those stacks lol. But bro is still a try hard wanna be and talk about meta all the time so no doubt he submitted his data to prydwen, too. That and people who comes back to the game for Miyabi and doesn’t have Burnice or Yanagi, so they just go traditional dps route and yeah, it’s gonna be worse for sure.
Love the video. Most of my struggles come from manual chain attack mode. When I hold down E, it sometimes does the special attack and ruins the flow. Any tips on timing of inputs?
I’m cracked at harumasa. But UA-cam recommended me this video. All good. Still learned a few things. Thanks. Make no mistake I wasn’t playing him wrong. Because I still got 3 stars on deadly assault the twins. With him as my main dps. While boss is stunned.
Harumasa and Miyabi have no synergy. Harumasa is literally deadweight for Miyabi. You'd probably clear faster with Miyabi alone than having Harumasa because you'd be tempted to swap to Harumasa occasionally. Your team will be Harumasa/stunner/Nicole. Anby is slightly better since she can help build towards shocks. Lycaon is only better if your support is Rina, but you lose the ability to do some of the advanced combos I show in the video.
Hey, i was using him in the range and i noticed if you have 6 quivers on the feild and you dont immediately overcap with another 6 you dont get the full 4 hit dash combo by initiating the overcap, is that suppose to happen? Also how are you using his ex on the enemy without triggering chain attacks?
Yes, the fourth dash comes from using the arrow when the enemy is stunned or is suffering from an anomaly. I'm not triggering the chain attack because I'm using manual chain attack.
Characters like Harumasa are a result of people complaining about the game being a left click simulator (those people have never played the game) You can expect more future characters to be like him
I’ve been using him in a similar way shown in the video somehow(I did read his entire kit because I’m used to doing that from Genshin) also I use him with Seth and Nicole is that a good team?
Oh yeah, the fighting game character, character. And ppl dont wann aplay him, i'll be honest i was SO HYPED to play him, but i'm struggling to building him due to lack of resources and the times i put him on to play a bit on more casual modes, i struggle SO hard to actually put him to work.
Honestly, I've given up on Harumasa. This video could've hyped me up to clear the previous deadly assault, but it's just too late for me. I had a 19k one time with marionette and I got so bummed out of how close I was that I didn't even go for an 8 star clear. This time though, I just went and did an 8 star clear because I just couldn't handle getting disappointed over and over again. I'm still gonna try out this overcapping mechanic since I've optimized my gameplay with Harumasa too much without knowing about it and I hope to see some improvements. Edit: So I've finally got a 9 star clear with Harumasa after finding a more simpler overcap strat gameplay. I definitely can't play harumasa in the most optimal way and I don't intend to learn him that way.
Really great guide! I can’t figure out however during combo 1 how you’re able to maintain rainbow stun bar after nicole’s ulit that goes into harumasa’s chain attack? During that sequence after I use haru’s chain, it always goes into gray stun bar. I tried holding skill button but it still triggers?
-I'm new to the game, but dayum, Impeccable timing, the time this character came out, I already knew that this is my favorite go-to character. ( still pulling for Miyabi ) After an hour of watching and understanding, I get how he's played. and dam it's like a GR Yaris with only 300hp, but with changed air intake, exhaust, and tire, its bumped up to 400hp, but with ECU mapping, it's 450hp. but then. someone found the limiter to it's most peak horsepower, and that's the engine pistons itself. in Harumasa's case, its maximum skill efficiency. reaching an astounding 770hp for a small 3cyl. Engine, output is as the same that of a super car like Lamborghini. In short, If I haven't seen your video or like the others , I wouldn't have known he could be this strong.
Mildly interested in Harumasa during the first test, but somehow I pulled of the 15-19 combos once (donno which one), now I'm really interested in building him up. Thanks for this guide. May you have a pleasant day.
If i had a nikel for every character in zenless zone zero that we got for free and it had cool gameplay with a rewarding learning curve,. I'd have 2 nikels. Which isn't a lot, but it's strange that it happened twice. Jokes aside, great video, lately i started to learn harumasa and i love how rewarding is his gameplay.

Anby rocking that ice dmg. bonus %
I managed to 2* Marionette with him m0s0 + Anby + Nicole on a pretty stuttery phone. (Same score as my Soldier + Lighter + Lucy for Pompeii)
Give it some time and the general player base who actually learn to use him will find him very rewarding, not to mention that he doesn’t have an actually synergistic Drive Set right now.
It's kinda hidden away in his toolkit under Basic Attack, so not a lot of players know this, but it works like this:
After the 5th hit of his Basic Attack combo, a Special or EX Special, or Chain Attack, you can HOLD the Special button for a set-up attack: Harumasa will do a spin and fire a Falling Feather arrow (this doesn't consume energy) launching all present quivers and marking the enemy if they hit. If there's an enemy marked with X on the field, this arrow can immediately be followed up with a Normal Attack, which will turn into his Enhanced Dash Attack engager as if you were already dashing.
So in short:
5th NA / Special / EX Special / Chain Attack > HOLD Special > NA
In case of his Special and EX Special, you can just press and hold the Special button once until he starts spinning.
Amazing not Amazon. Yw
Gueinuliy one of the best guides I've seen for harumasa! Keep it up!!!
Definitely subbed!
nice guide, this is probably my 6th guide i'm watching and i think he's finally starting to click for me
i discovered overcapping completely by accident just my messing around and enjoying his animations... then the dmg i saw shocked me (pun). you're right, it does take some planning but ooooh its so satisfying. thank you for this video. your stun advice and animation cancel helped a lot... he got crazier
The problem, I find, with the rankings is that hard to master = bad
fr like by the rankings point zhu yuan should be in same place bec the kit is almost same
but prob zhu yuan is higher since people got used to her kit while harumasa is still "new" or prob just got him after taking a break but still harumasa should be higher than this
Nah, that's cope
ngl, I don't think that the devs should make characters easy to use.
Even tho everyone says it's not the most effective team for him.
y, this + usualy you need slow motion to kinda get it better as well, this is easy to get only if u already play him very well
@@AngelTyraelGM I didn't catch what you mean
@@waliscad Essentialy to be able to understand so many inputs, you want the video slowed down while its happening + visuals for what keys are pressed during, so you can kinda get it, when its so many things and no idea what they press it feels overwhelming and impossible :}
Rina vs Nicole is a matter of convenience vs risk of bungling your combo for a slight boost in damage.
@@ItsJustTeddington Dude, I have no clue who is better Nicole or Rina, I'm just saying that I like this team.
I feel like the 13 dash combo is the most mandatory to make harumasa effective. Beyond that, i personally think is just to squeeze out any other tech that can improve his damage, but i still respect people who uses the 19 dash combo and any tech beyond it. Pulling those move aint easy.
I personally find it more rewarding playing a character like Harumasa compared to other characters with "easier" skill sets.
I love him so much I'm picking Rina when I get to the 300
Tbh, i didn't know you weren't supposed to use nicole's EX only in stun windows. I probably won't try anything past the chain attack cancelling, but this was a great video, the combos look super cool.
I KNEW my son was strong. I didn't even know people weren't using him. I thought he was strong already but i had no idea he had this much tech.
If you make sure to only hit one of them, you can double (or more, depending on the quantity of enemies) the amount of dash attacks
my brain hurts but i feel like the end result is going to be worth it
With base qingyi and Rina (With anom mastery 6) absolutely SHREDS enemies. I already loved his character but when he goes bang bang bang on the enemies with the dash attack it is so satisfying.
I find it funny how Miyabi who in lore had to train like crazy to know how to be as good as She is rn is super simple to play and Harumasa, a lazy bum of the group is probably the most complex character in ZZZ
a very nice guide ive ever see, its realy recomanded👍👍
Are you holding down the skill button too long? That will cause manual chain attack to prevent the chain attack.
As someone who plays this on mobile a little(only option) I don't think there is a possible way to try to do some of his combos without wasting time
The only mechanic they have for manual chain is to hold down basic or special attack while doing a heavy attack but if you hold down too long you just interrupt your dash attacks
I played this in mobile/android this combo is possible if you have controller 🎮
@ I don't got a controller ☹️ pretty sure it got thrown out few years ago
However as the guy in the video mentioned, if you don't enjoy doing these you can choose to not do them.
most fun character in my opinion
This may be the better way to play but I'm not having as a much fun as when I focus on spending the visible arrow quivers
Thx! I’m thinking of building him after we got the genuinely good event Wengine and after having played his story
W music choice... the Port Elpis music is so good.
He seems like Zhu Yuan on steroids. I'll play him once I stop being too lazy; I pulled Miyabi out of laziness after all.
Where did they even get those datas in the beginning? And from what sample lol
Not splitting 10%/25%/median and posting only "average" (which we're hoping is median)
barely having data
They don't have build data because that's not that easy to get, but it really sours the data
STun the fool then swap in a biuffer then to Haru, EX special, charged arrow for the mark, dash combo, another EX dash special, repeat until done and swap back to stunner.
any tips for a mono electro with Grace and Rena?
I've been trying out a team with them but I have M2 Harumasa and M1 Rina and Grace. Because there's no stunner I have the opportunity to play Harumasa as an on-field main dps. If he doesn't have any dash attacks or energy I use Grace to apply anomaly and her 4th basic to regen energy. (from her M1).
based haramusa enjoyer , i personally love his kit
Thanks for all the Harumasa tutorial vids!
I'm having a hard time distinguishing when you say "X" (prison stacks) vs "EX" (Special), would it upset you if I suggest calling "EX" as "E-X" instead?
came back since the release and I dont have any s ranks except miyabi harumasa and rina from the standard discount thingy. thanks a lot for this
How do you change Harumasa directly to Nicole without going to Anby first?
Because of the stun windows keep running out whenever I try to do Harumasa's combos, I decided to play him like I would an Anomaly character, and it helps that triggering Anomaly Attribute (with an actual anomaly character like Burnice) generates 6 quivers. As soon as those pop out, I go unga bunga with all those X strikes... and getting his M1 really made it fun.
I'll have to try your tech to tighten it a bit though 😊
12:27 oh man I’ve used grace lucy masa and I’ve used up like everything to upgrade him, is this still fine with them?
he's doesn't feel completely indomitable like miyabi and yanagi who just erase everything but i pulled a dupe and his sig and DAMN he puts in work.
13:05 Never knew you can use chain attack on the same person twice :/
Whats the OST on the portion of Deadly Assault?
Arknights OST - Ideal City Boss Theme (Minima)
A really good character. They should complement an Anomaly like this in the future. I'll definitely pulling
It’s a shame he’s a stun dps. When I saw that he got quivers by anomaly going off I was hoping he could work well as a secondary dps in anomaly teams but he doesn’t. He’s the only guy in section 6 and he doesn’t even pair well with his teammates
Is this only applicable with nicole? Is it going to be different if i want to replace nicole with rina?
You can use Rina if you want to, she works well with him especially if you have m1 Rina, but usually Nicole gives more def shred than Rina, so overall there will be more dmg with Nicole than with Rina
They work the same in rotations but keep in mind that rina is a little slower.
@@INSU3_3oh okay, thanks for the explanation
@@The-hamster2471is it the ex skill animation window to quick assist, is that what you mean?
Being unique doesn't mean great. He's rated low cause of the curvature of learning you need to do in order to deal with that amount of damage, especially compared to miyabi, which he's unfortunately faired with on release.
Can we also agree that battlefield has been temu battlefield for a long time now.
@@DegenerateDuckyeah, for the least amount of effort, they should at least look at 25% percentile rather than average…
Love the video. Most of my struggles come from manual chain attack mode. When I hold down E, it sometimes does the special attack and ruins the flow. Any tips on timing of inputs?
You can hold E during a dash attack or while you shoot, but otherwise it just takes practice.
@ thanks I appreciate the response
I’m cracked at harumasa. But UA-cam recommended me this video. All good. Still learned a few things. Thanks. Make no mistake I wasn’t playing him wrong. Because I still got 3 stars on deadly assault the twins. With him as my main dps. While boss is stunned.
so cool...
And this, my friends, is why I opted to put my harumasa team on the backburner and play piper burnice lucy instead
Thank you very much I just started the game too
I wanna play him with Lycaon as he’s the only stun I have. Should Harumasa be good either lycaon and Nicole/miyabi?
@BladeCube1674 so if you want to trigger a fourth dash attach during the overclock combo you have to time the animally to trigger during the combo?
Great video chief
i’m just to lazy lol i don’t want to do homework to play a character. i’ll stick with my ellen and zhu yuan but admire ppl who master him
Zhu yuan plays the same role and more straightforward lol

Characters like Harumasa are a result of people complaining about the game being a left click simulator (those people have never played the game)
You can expect more future characters to be like him
I’ve been using him in a similar way shown in the video somehow(I did read his entire kit because I’m used to doing that from Genshin) also I use him with Seth and Nicole is that a good team?
Oh yeah I recognize the Ideal City boss theme when I hear it
M1 Harumasa is actually really REALLY good
Oh yeah, the fighting game character, character.
I actually can believe they ranked him at last place cause even if you play him bad he’s still good
Really great guide! I can’t figure out however during combo 1 how you’re able to maintain rainbow stun bar after nicole’s ulit that goes into harumasa’s chain attack? During that sequence after I use haru’s chain, it always goes into gray stun bar. I tried holding skill button but it still triggers?
Are you using it against an elite or boss enemy? You can't practice these combos in the training mode since they only give 2 chain attacks.
Oh I see. Thanks a lot!! I’ve been replaying the video trying to find an explanation I might’ve missed lol. amazing guide btw.
Mandatory viewing for anyone who plays this game. Harumasa good gang rise up.
Skill expression is always hype
-I'm new to the game, but dayum, Impeccable timing, the time this character came out, I already knew that this is my favorite go-to character. ( still pulling for Miyabi )
After an hour of watching and understanding, I get how he's played. and dam
it's like a GR Yaris with only 300hp, but with changed air intake, exhaust, and tire, its bumped up to 400hp, but with ECU mapping, it's 450hp. but then. someone found the limiter to it's most peak horsepower, and that's the engine pistons itself. in Harumasa's case, its maximum skill efficiency. reaching an astounding 770hp for a small 3cyl. Engine, output is as the same that of a super car like Lamborghini.
In short, If I haven't seen your video or like the others , I wouldn't have known he could be this strong.
awesome!
Mildly interested in Harumasa during the first test, but somehow I pulled of the 15-19 combos once (donno which one), now I'm really interested in building him up. Thanks for this guide. May you have a pleasant day.

anyone also comes here because they pulled for Harumasa Sig engines but realized he's complicated for new players? 😅
Wait theres actually harumasa players?
i accidentally got his m1, but his mechanics are too complicated, and its a little bit annoying plays him on mobile
Man I wish I had Rina. Just so I could fully move over to Thunder Metal instead of Hormone Punk.
99% of players have him level 20 for the standard wish so your stat checks out.
Im guessing you need AP on harumasa to trigger multiple quivers
