The more she tries to suppress her Tarkatan side, the harder it gets to maintain control just like when she nearly bit Sindel
Baraka has more control since he was able to hold his urges for so long that he lost count of years, so I would say that someone like Mileena wouldn't be able to control herself for long because of her inferiority complex with Kitana but would still be able to handle herself if she got the right person to train her (presumably Baraka or Scorpion, since he is full of rage but was able to handle it and use it as his weapon)

I'm surprised MK actually got it right with the Kriss. in Indonesia, "Keris" (Indonesian traditional daggers, in English it becomes "Kriss") is usually imbued with magical properties OR a djinn inhabiting a Kriss. In Indonesian legends, these Kriss sometimes can even fly on its own defending its owner if it detect any threats that comes near the owner, but not often, It's usually happened with the Kriss that is inhabited by a Djinn. As for a Kriss with magical properties, it is said it can gives the wielder enhanced strength, invincibility, and even good luck. There were also regular Kriss which were used by soldiers for war, skirmishes, and battles between Javanese kingdoms in medieval times. Try to google "Majapahit Kingdom" to know more about the usage of "Keris".
