Have a 2022 with x15, gotta say having it with the grassburner exhaust is great, pipes stay clean, much simpler exhaust routing, extra storage box on that side, dpf is completely accessible without removing a big cover, and after someone nailed me in the passengers side i realized i would have been completely disabled for weeks if the dpf had taken that hit. Honestly one of my favorite channels 👌👌👌👌👌
Another sharp lookin ride bud 👍🏻. When you made the comment about opening the hood to see the big ol motor, I jokingly thought to myself that I’d be a Paccar, and sure enough it was 😂😂. I ran a Pete 365 with the MX13 pulling heavy permitted loads of limestone. It had some issues that were no worse than the rest in the industry, other than that and it’s underrated power for the job (455hp, 1650tq), it did fine. Didn’t have any emissions problems with the DPF/SCR system, which was properly serviced when the time came.
Man I’m hoping you’ll be happy with that truck please keep us updated on that motor situation and gas mileage I really enjoy your videos I’m not a truck driver I’ve never even been in one
They put that new dash in so the 389 could share parts with the 579/567 that’s why the steering column changed its straight out of a 579. I heard from Peterbilt Steve that January 1st 2024 is the last build date for the 389 they’re gonna replace it with a 579/567 style long hood like KW did with the W990
Can't wait til you give us some of your thoughts about the paccar motor. They"re not as bad as others would like you to believe. They have their issues but so do the cummins. Can't wait for more driver.
Very Nice. I miss the flat tops and the Windows though. So you've got this one and the Garnet one do you still have the cookies and cream flat top? That's 3 do you still have another one coming? And how's Sally? I have not seen her lately. A lot of questions I know. I do really like the signs a lot better without the diamond on it. Lookin pretty sharp. And lastly. Congratulations Brother.
Sorry but I’m totally shocked someone bought a hood with a crap European Paccar motor. I’m sorry but I’m honest. Not keen on the gauges I guess I’m just old school

Thanks! I’d love to have one with a grass burner and fake stacks! I fall asleep at night dreaming about clean shiny pipes.
Another first class money make! Congratulations once again. Looking forward to hitting the road soon. Thank you for sharing Mr. Phelps!
Love the colour! Happy driving.
I work for a company that uses only paccar engines in a small fleet of about 10 trucks. The ones with Apu's consistently run a million miles
Just passed me in hwy 99 north in Bakersfield Ca . Nice truck !

Nice ride friend i would love to have that truck 👍
Congratulations 🎊🎉🍾
That is a beautiful truck
AWESOME!!
I hope that Paccar is a 510hp/1850trq motor. Did you get disc brakes all around and 325 rear gears. 🤔

What’s the fix you do before it evens breaks on Cummins? I have 22k miles on mine and most about an inch of coolant in 4 days off
When I saw that engine it reminded me of the hamburger commercial back in the 80’s with the old woman screaming “where’s the beef”

Could not agree more, they ALL have issues.
I have a Cummins in Joplin with a blown engine waiting on parts it has 270,000 miles on it.
Beautiful ride! I think it needs a Louisiana driver in the pilot’s seat lol
Hey Mr. Mike! We're ready for an update! Hope things are going well!

Everytime i see one of those dashes it makes me even happier that i got a 95 379
Great video!!
Nice 👌
What do you use for a dash cam? Likes dislikes? Thanks
Think about UA-cam like this Mike, 10k peeps fill the stadium to watch you!!!!
Great lookin truck
Mike next time you load cows a head cam of to loading or unloading would be BadA
Yes sir nice truck 👍
If ya ever find out how to fix tat hood let me know, got the same issue with mine.
Nice truck!
Would you consider a 589 now that the 389 is going away?
Maybe if they ever stopped being ridiculous on the prices. But not likely. I don’t really care for them
Paccar should replace the peterbilt emblems with kw. Right!
Nice ride
Nice truck but I like the older analog style guages
i love the new truck
Are you set for drivers?
Do you still have the two-tone flattop Peterbilt
Good Video
Those new dashes are nice with everything they do but definitely miss the look of the old dashes. That is one tiny motor 🤣
Congrats man! Pull to start 🤣
Petercar is turning their trucks into government emissions junk, but still happy as a peach for ya!
Where's Lil Sally?
Glad to see your back and still killing it.. why the paccar this time?
Just what was available is all it amounted to.
Sweet
The tilt is the same in the 579.
You're just an awesome Kool dude
Maybe someday! 🤞
Already missing the old gauges on the dash lol
Hey Mike what did you get to replace Copper Penny?
I bought the one in this video and in the last one.
@@wanderingpete3196 1-Red389 2-Copper389 3- Cookies&Cream 4-FrtShaker 5-????????? 6-red389 7-Viper Red 389
@@wanderingpete3196 I missed the owner Op you have now. Just a reminder that lots of us are looking forward to an update LOL
Your dealer should do a better job with the PDI. Perhaps
I've heard the Paccar MX13 engines are a lot better. They are actually pretty simple pushrod engines.
Wish peterbilt would of made it optional to still get gauges. We need a truck driver to be the guy who builds these things not a scientist. ✌🏼

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 No !!!!
Too much flex in hood . Everything made today is shit . It doesn't matter, engine part or body or frame. All shit compared to 20 yrs ago
Love your videos and channel!
