That turned out very nice. Great that you can take it outdoors for that natural light effect. It really adds to the realism. Appreciated the testing on the grouts as well....going to try some of that on my own soon. All in all, very well done, sir.
The layout turned out fantastic - I appreciate you taking the time to experiment with the grout and sharing your experience.
I’m pretty happy with how it worked out. Plus the grout is pretty cheap when compared to other scenery materials. Obviously some limitations in colors and so forth but a nice option.

Building a layout like this with an integrated lamp over it is something I’ve always wanted to do.

I found that using grout with just water didn't work, so I had to add some glue. But then it was old grout. I will try your way. Grout, with or without sand, is a really good scenery material.
I had an order from AZ Rock & Sand that didn't show for a while. When I finally got it, there was a note. They're dealing with serious health issues that are affecting business right now.
Right, it is often slow getting things from them because of the nature of their business, so you have to assume it will take a while. I just didn’t know I was going to need it far in advance and I wasn’t aware of their current health issues, so things didn’t arrive in time for this project, which is fine.

I was watching another video where the presenter was testing different types of glues, and he also experienced a reaction similar to yours with the WS Scenic Cement.
Interesting. That is also a matte medium based product. Normally I like to use it instead of white glue because it is so neutral in terms of impacts.
