I don't really think a retail unit gets the free wireless charger, that would be just way too much free stuffs in my opinion. Samsung already gives a lot of stuffs in the box, a fast charger, a good quality earphones, USB cable, these may sound quite normal but its more than what other big manufacturers are willing to include in the box nowadays. And Samsung really nailed the pricing this time around, you get a decent upgrade for the same price ( actually a little cheaper than the s8). I make tech videos with a new style. On my S8+ I noticed a *TINGE* of a difference in general performance; overall slightly more snappier but the screen quality you give up for it it's not worth it at least for me. Don't know about battery performance though.
The difference is very minimal in my opinion as well, i usually just put it on 1080p usually when i need to save some battery and also wanna watch some video, it still won't make that much of a difference but still it does gives a bit more confidence. But yeah changing the mode doesn't really gives any major advantage, there isn't really much of a point by making the 1080p as default, the benefits are quite small anyway. Got mine (S9+ coral blue 256gb Exynos) a week ago as an upgrade from the Note 3 and it's great. Great speed, battery power, and camera, but I wish the AR emoji was something more substantive than a gimmick and the charger to use the latest Quick Charge tech. Still, it's pretty good!

My upgrade isn't due until August of 2019. My Samsung S8 is a beast of a phone, one I'll be keeping and using even with a new phone around. It's my very first android ever and I'll be hopefully upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy S9 Note.

V30 is battery king right now but has a mediocre selfie. Other than that it's BOSS. However I heard that the S9's selfie isn't all that great. Would you keep it or go broke,,, I mean upgrade? jesse fontes I'd upgrade mostly because the V30 is a dead phone. It didn't sell very well and it's taking forever to push updates to it. I don't take a ton of selfies so i don't really know about the front camera's capabilities so it's mostly user preference
Hamza Yousaf Same here! Upgraded from Pixel2 xl to S9+. S9+ is much much better, and I love this phone so much. However, since I got a contract phone, the phone only came with a small size of box, not what we see in the video. No sitting charger included.
My local store here in Australia is currently selling the S9+ 256GB phone for $1,300. I'm gonna buy it soon, because the S10+ here is more expensive at $1,800 Australian dollars. P.S The S11+ is gonna cost $2,400 Australian dollars when it comes out here next year.

MrWh1t3x75 bloatware has become less and less since the s5/s6. On my s9+ i only find: Samsung health, Samsung gear, Galaxy apps, Galaxy members, theme store and Samsung pass. The last one is really nice cuz it saves your passwords and you can login on sites with fingerprint ot facial. The samsung UI is different from stock android but i like it. Believe me, you won't regret it if you decide to buy the s9+

If you don't use the S-Pen I'd say the S9+! Newer SD 845, display is almost the same size, better cameras, stereo speakers, Android 8.0 Oreo and Samsung Experience 9.0, if I wasn't so impatient to upgrade from my Note5, I would've got the S9+ because I barely use the S-Pen, the S9+ is even cheaper too. Hope this helps you out
Well, in my opinion it depends a lot of price, i think you can get Note 8 at a much more affordable price because of all those deals, but if you don't really care about saving $50-$100, then definitely go for S9+ (I'm assuming that you don't really care about Note specific features like the S-pen). Both these devices are really close, but S9 has some advantages like a better camera, super slow motion, AR emoji, a more powerful processor. I do tech videos in a different style. I upgraded my iphone 7 to s9 and its so different and better than iphone and i like my coral blue the batery doesnt die fast like my iphone 7 and its too expensive too change to a new battery then i decided to wait for the s9 then few days after launch so stable and it has so many good features and its just my third samsung phone after s5 and s3 all blue colour lol
I do need a new upgrade, according to Verizon, as I have an s7 edge but I'm a little cautious because I'm a fan of physical buttons on phones. Not the ones on screen. But we'll see what happens when I go to the store. My s7 edge is amazing but it's starting to decrease in function. I don't get notifications despite my settings and the Verizon dude saying he fixed it, calls randomly drop, etc. :/

Not sure why Samsung still defaults to 1080p. No noticeable battery difference between that and 1440p on my note 8. Performance is the same.
