Great content and teaching style.. Confirming what I know about smallies and you always add my enjoyment of the sport... ... Thanks for your time/knowledge... Keep up the good work... We enjoy them all...
Yes please more of this! There's not a lot of folks doing a good job of breaking down specifically smallmouth movements out there and I need all help I can get. I live on a huge lake and I am struggling hard out there. Thanks Ben!
I am excited about this too. This is the stuff I enjoy watching on UA-cam so I really want to focus on adding my own spin to it. Thanks for always supporting Will - I appreciate it man
I love the imagery and charts you use. It really clarifies what you’re explaining. You are also right on the money about Jonny Schultz. His electronics instruction is incredible. Thanks for this great video!
Great video, lots of good info. We're already on the tail end of that water temp range you mentioned, but I'll have to remember to revisit this next year.
Yeah, we’re at the tail end with mainly spawners and post spawn now, but this will still work until that mayfly hatch ends in early July, so a few more weeks hopefully! Thanks for watching the vid!
Hey my almost-cousin, I'm in the market for a new shaky head / finesse rod & reel....I MIGHT have accidentally kicked my St Croix mojo off the deck....That rod was probably about $150-180....Let's say I bump up the $250 budget on a rod, what do you think's the most sensitive step up in rod?
Haha yeah it can be such a tough lake sometimes! That mayfly hatch can be such a good opportunity for that hair jig or Topwater bite on the big flats though!

Good stuff Ben looking forward to the videos of you and Alex!
I love the mapping tutorials. Adding the google earth really helps visualize it. I’m excited for this series!

Thank you for this it’s a tremendous help. I am going take what I learned to analyze the lakes I fish. Thanks for making us better anglers.
Excellent breakdown Ben.
Thank you Kyle!
Dude Ben I've been following you since the beginning this by far as a break down video was AWESOME keep up the great work Thank You learned a ton😎
Thank you so much man. I’m glad that this was helpful. I have plans to keep doing this more

Awesome tips I am just learning how to do that on the maps
Google Earth on desktop is so helpful especially on these clear lakes or lakes that fluctuate up and down
@@brnowak_fishing is it the same for laptop also to go back in time

How to catch a spawning smallmouth?
Throw literally anything within 25 square miles of their bed.
Early spawners definitely.. but when they are locked on beds they are LOCKED!
That’s very true. They get tough once they’re locked. This is really more emphasis on fishing for the pre and post that aren’t necessarily on bed yet
@@wilddthangss that’s because of the guys in sitting with power poles directly on top of the beds trying to catch the same fish for 20 minutes 🤣
Yay I hit that 100 th like !!!
Much appreciated brother!

I know what lake that is.. and let's just say I've had it kick my ass more than once lol but I've never fished it during the spawn
