Ehh dunno about calling any link at 4mm manly or thick.. That's like a "average" sized guy thinking he's hung.
A 8mm rope at least is masc, but a 10mm chain is manly.
It’s definitely subjective, I know many that won’t touch the 4mm Byzantine because it’s to large and heavy for them. The design in general is heavy.
