Ah, yes, I remember it well! I was a professional fashion illustrator back then and met my husband at The New School for Social Research, now New School University while studying psychology and children's book illustration at Parson's School of Design which is affiliated with New School! Also went to the Village Gate to see Jacque Brel is Alive and Well . Husband used to work there when he also went to NYU and knew the owner, Art D'Lugoff. Before I met my husband I went with my boyfriend to see Italian operas at the Provincetown Playhouse in the Village and used to love eating at the then famous cafes! Husband and I were married in 1974 in Provincetown, MA aka "P'Town", "Helltown' since the late 1800s and "Greenwich Village North", in the early 1900s, 1920s ,30s and 40s, the oldest summer art colony and gay community in America where the first gay marriage took place! Thanks for sending me back down Memory Lane! I hear the Village isn't what it used to be, sad! smdh

The Nehru jacket is a giveaway: we’re in ‘67, ‘68 here.

I'm a stickler for DATES ; I'm thinking this is somewhere between Spring 1965 and Spring 1966. None of the men have long "girly" hair yet. No furry vests like Sonny Bono , no protest signs. They still have Beatles / Kinks hair circa 1964/65. And Dammit - I see NO movie theatres ! Movies playing can pinpoint what YEAR it is . All I see is a play house with Noel Coward's "Private Lives" playing - the actual play -- it's from the 1930s . Still; this is phantasmagorical and registers as "maybe in the next life" to me. And I an't alone on this . Beautiful with a suck-y watermark.

This was a PR film for cotton clothes/fabrics for middle class consumers, they're not gonna show "hippies or counterculture" images, only sanitized images of what they think the target audience will embrace.

It's gotta be 1968. All you have to do is know your '60s cars! That's a '68 Olds Cutlass on the right @ 01:49

There's a brief clip of a poster for Blood Sweat and Tears at the Whiskey au Go-Go. That was in November 1967.

Though there are images from the time and place I do not feel this piece of marketing propaganda has much of anything to do with real life in Greenwich Village back in the sixties. I do like cotton garments though.

I was not yet born as well. Wouldn't it be amazing to have a time machine. I suppose these people in the video were born in the 1940's? Imagine being able to afford rent in those beautiful homes, and spend you day gardening and being able to actually afford to buy hand made cotton garments in cute boutiques. Our time is so much different. What a fortunate group of people who had the opportunity to live this kind of a life style. It is so rare.
