I get pissed at the refs also...like our first long incomplete when the BC defender is CLEARLY pulling his jersey at the front chest shoulder pad for at least 3 seconds, but no call. So, as a Nebraska fan, we are starting to get used to these calls, or non calls. It may be BS to some that we got that personal foul by the DB at the end of the game, but if he didn't lower his head and shoulder at the very end of his tackle, I doubt he would have been called. This era of protection for the QB and the legalization of almost every rule the refs have to make almost dictated they make that call.
People complaining about getting penalties in our favor is crazy. Lol. As many as we have not gotten that we should but let's complain about one in our favor. Can't win lmao
We're not complaining about getting a call to go our way even when it was a bad call. We're complaining that that is what it usually takes for us to win these close games. Until we can actually learn to just play football and put teams away and not have to rely on stuff like this, we're not back
I watched several calls exactly like that since bowl games began. Refs are protecting QBs. If BC player positioned self to tackle rather than tucking to ram, ref wouldn't call. Good call cause consistent with other games' calls.
@donyork8641 it was a late slide and the defender was already going for the tackle. He actually turned his head away so it wouldn't be leading with the helmet. If that's the way the other games called it then I think it's wrong as well. They need to look at that rule for next year.
I agree, but NE was due for a call in their favor. Too many very questionable calls have gone against us or obvious penalties against us that were not called.
Basically the worst special teams in the country and showed it again today. So why, please tell me why and how in the world we still have Ed Foley leading that group?
Yeah it's gonna be a springboard into next year because the schedule is *much* easier than this year's. The team will look much better than it is because of that. That won't matter when it comes to the whole "Matt Rhule is a third-year god," conversation, but perspective matters.
I don't buy into the bowl game practice hype. I don't think spring practice does anything either. Kids don't have their heads into it that way. It's like a shooting range. You leave it for a few weeks and you suck. simple as that.
Well done,Sam! Thanks for your reporting all season and for hanging with the Huskers until the end!

I agree, plus officiating has been absolute horse crap for every team this season
@Muzikskavenger so it balances out, right.

Good job Sam!
The extra practice time for a bowl game has been sorely missed the last eight years. That alone will be huge for the team going into 2025.
Maybe it wasn’t a flag but why are people acting like that was the game? It would have been 2nd and short anyway.
I agree that last call was wrong about the late hit.
I wish you had a canvas coat on for this. From a seed store
Truth is, we’re going nowhere with Rhule. 2-22 against ranked opponents. He can’t win important games to take us to the next level.
LOVE MY HUSKERS!!!! 🤗❤🏈🌽💀
Kind of like........Iowa
I'm a Husker fan, but that late hit on DR was complete BS.

Smart play by Raiola
@@nickbarta5148 yeah. When he got up and almost got flagged himself for a non dirty hit. He's young, but he needs to learn to keep his composure.

Nebr is about a 50 to 60 ranked team and our special teams are abysmal. RHule is looking more and more like a Scott Frost II.

Another Neb 2nd half loss.
And what, 110 games and still just 1 Top 20 win, #19 Navy.
