.. This album hit the South African record bar shelves in 1995 and I bought myself the CD in 96. This song is so pure and from a place of pain. I put it on repeat the first night I had the CD.
What? He’s an amazing talent but best of all time? Let me see….. Luther Vandross, Sam Cooke, Donny Hathaway, Glenn Jones, Gerald Levert, David Peaston, Dee Harvey, David Ruffin, Teddy Pendergrass, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Eric Benet, Johnny Gill, Will Downing, Freddie Jackson, Phil Perry……respectfully I beg to differ but to each his own liking. Utmost respect to you though.
Still trying to find this whole album again it was the truth. Michael Speaks is probably the first artist from my hometown (Benton Harbor, MI) to make it to the music industry. Still remember him performing this on BET's Video Vibrations with Sherry Carter back in the day. Great voice!!
Still listen to this. I actually still play him for friends and associates, showing octaves and range. Tre Lorenz or Mariah Carey were the standard...but this brother is an anomaly!👑
Out of my mind......yhooo this song has always, i mean since Micheal released this album, made me reflect on where i have been and possibly where i might be.
This song was so dope!! Did anyone notice Adina Howard was on the background vocals?!
2020 still bumping this from 95. I was 21yrs old not many people knew Michael Speaks but I played this daily.
Facts
Too many people slept on this. Great CD.
This was my favorite from this album 🔥🤍

You are correct they did a duet on her first album called You Don’t Have To Cry. There’s a UA-cam video of them performing it live in concert too.
The song was also on Michael’s “No equal” album 👌🏾👌🏾
This album reminds me of my exgirlfriend
