MegaMoh, Anan kata is Shito-ryu. WKF supported only 4 styles before 2017. Now every Karate style can join as long as its federation is a member of WKF. In kata competition, there is no restriction for an athlete to perform his/hers style katas only. A Shotokan practitioner can perform any of the listed katas
Anan is a Ryuei Ryu kata adopted by Hayashi Ha Shito Ryu. Anan Dai is also a Ryuei Ryu kata, which yes, apparently any style can adopt and change however they like for performance.
wkf is a multi style federation ,it has 4 styles featuring shotokan ,wadu ryu ,shito ryu ,(annan and annan dai for exemple ) and goju ryu .for kumite all 4 styles have the same reglements
