There are too many reasons to consider this man the master of music ... First of all, the heavenly quality of his melodies, unique, never banal, absolutely moving ... second, but not least, the enormous quality of his extraordinary production: the level is ALWAYS at the top, but you have to be really expert in music to understand and, obviously, you have to be able to listen, hear it.
This concert is no more and no less important than some other hundreds he wrote ... AND THIS IS HIS MAGIC, THE MAGIC OF MAESTRO ANTONIO, GOD BLESS HIM HIM !!

Music scholars in some countries have a go at Vivaldi for not being as complex as some of the other composers like Bach and Mozart. But if this piece had been written by Bach, they would be falling over themselves saying how genius it is.

They are just peasants who know nothing about Vivaldi. I've noted this master piece while i was working 5 years ago.

You are right, vivaldi is a genius( like every other composer who brings his own style). Bach was greatly influenced by him. His music would have been a little bit different without Vivaldi. Luckily we all have the right to express our opinions. If some people dislike something then it's their problem. However these people should not dictate their opinions to others like dictators would do. I once met a musician who wanted to destroy all the music made before the romantic era because he didn't like these styles of music... hopefully he will not apply his idea and brainwash others to do it...

I mean yeah to some great extent many music scholars and art scholars in general have their favorites and calling other not as complex like Vivaldi just cause he doesn’t have a ton of key changes like what’s so prominent in German baroque. Nothin wrong with it, I love both but I think it’s more Vivaldi being Italian baroque and having a really different sound than German baroque, not really a who can write different voices and counterpoints and blah blah blah more, just different style. But yeah kind of a bad dig at a guy when it’s his regional style, both for Vivaldi for being “simpler” or Bach for being “too complex” or whatever

      You're entirely right.
The funniest shit is when some people realize their favorite Bach piece is actually a transcription of a Vivaldi piece.
To me Bach was a genius scientist of music, but Vivaldi was a genius composer and artist. His music is much more emotional and powerful, and doesn't simply strive for complexity just for complexity's sake. - And that's not even to say Vivaldi didn't (or couldn't) write complex music, because he did, and it is extremely appreciated. However he seems to not have been constrained to an obligation to complexity, and only used it when it served what he was trying to express through his music.

You said everything in your comments! Bach was a genius mental scientist of music and Vivaldi was a genius heart scientist of music. These are the difference: one speaks to mind and other speaks to heart

The second movement Largo will be transformed in Giustino's aria "Vedrò con mio diletto"

Did you noticed that the aria of the low (2nd) movement is the same as the theme of the aria "Vedrò con mio diletto" (from the Vivaldi's Opera 'Giustino') ?
