Hi, my name is April! If you’re someone who loves reading, then this is DEFINITELY the place for you! My videos include book recommendations, book hauls, reading wrap ups, reading reviews and reading vlogs. I mostly read thriller books, contemporary fiction, literary fiction, horror books, historical fiction and nonfiction too. I hope that by watching my Booktube videos, you will find your next five star read (or maybe even a new favourite book of all time!!).
Remarkably Bright Creatures,was my favorite book of 2023. At first I thought there was no way I could get into it, but it grabbed me and I couldn't put it down!!

I just finished "How to Sell a Haunted House." and I'm also a big Grady Hendrix fan. He's truly an outlier in this genre, in that I wouldn't necessarily say his books are "scary" to me. More 'creepy' or 'outlandish' I guess. I also LOVE his humor and how absurd things get with Pupkin. Lol.
I loved seeing your favorites. We have nearly the exact same taste, and I've read most on your list. The others are now on my Amazon wish list!

Oh yes! That's my Libby. She passed away a couple of years ago. But I have Winnie now (also a cav - black and tan) and she makes appearances here and there on my channel!
My daughter's first child was Phoebe, a Cav, King Charles. Now she has kids and big rescue dogs.

I’m adding The Paying Guest onto my 2025 tbr. I had this one on my shelves for a few years now but wasn’t sure if the writing was for me (I have another of hers) so I’ve been wondering if I should unhaul or not but after it making your top ten I will give a go of it! I also am adding that last one by Jessica Knolls to my 2025 tbr and Homecoming as well - I’m not buying in 2024… since I’m convinced I have at least 50 5 star reads to get to that I already own!!

Drowning was my favorite book of 2023 followed close by We Begin At The End
One of the more memorable books I read this year was Emily Wild's Encyclopedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett. Emily is a socially challenged loner, who travels to the North to document their Wee Folk.
My favorite book was We begin at the end by Chris Whitaker.
I put Reconstructing Amelia on hold at my library yesterday.

Hi April, I also enjoyed last year reading small things like these but if I were to pick, I would say I really liked the bodyguard and the dead Romantics both not your favorite the romances and not in romance I would have to say I’m glad my mom died was very good.
