I like seeing products reviewed but better to see products that are used. I am sure we all have items we bought because we thought they were cool but never used. Thanks again for another great video.
I love these types of vids! We need another updated EDC. Im also that way with storing things in my backpack. I rather have little pouches or bags to fit specific items.
Ironically I was just looking at different pouches I feel the same way when carrying a bag. I'm switching out my Covid end of the world backpack out for just a nice modern heritage styled one. With that I am going to lose all my zipper compartments. I settled on Evergoods, I looked at the Big idea you have and they have really just cool things, however I felt the price point for that particular one was very high for what it is. Loved that you decided to do this video, really appreciate you and the content!🙌 And that hardware wool looks good on you nice to see it on someone besides a faceless model lol.
Hey Carl, love this video about the items you really use on a day to day basis. Being an Electrician myself I use a tool belt all the time and it gets abused everyday. I know there are a lot of tool belts out there, but man I tell you, there is only one company that embodies the craftsmanship and principles of your channel. That's Akribis Leather. I was able to pick and choose what components I wanted and the quality is just unmatched. Not sure if you've looked into them, but I would imagine you have. They are just the best for any trades person.
Dude, this is totally new to me! I'm definitely checking them out. To this point I've used the same crappy Greenlee pouch on an old Klein belt. I thought Occidental was pretty much the best, but I'm going to open a new tab right now to check out Akribis. Thank you, fellow sparky!
@ they’re a game changer. Pretty much the Pacific Northwest boot makers of tool belts. I’ve had my setup for about 8 months and it’s just starting to break in. I’ve got the modular setup with Electrical rough in pouch and LT max with super belt and suspenders. Not gonna lie, it’s a heavy rig but it’s really special. They even do custom order slots which are limited every month and open each month, if you want to further customize it. The price is pretty comparable to Occidental but with Akribis you truly get a hand crafted piece of equipment you know where it comes from.
It seems to me that part of the issue with running a channel like yours is you have to cast a wide net, so to speak, to garner a decent audience. If you solely focus on high end stuff, you exclude a large portion of people, if you focus on the less expensive stuff, people tune out because it’s just the same stuff that they’re used to seeing. Invariably, highlighting the number of products you do, some just kinda have to get left out. I think this was a neat video, highlighting a few things that are really nice but don’t necessarily warrant a full review. I might have to order one of those picks cause I’m tired of gunked up glue bottles. Thanks Carl!
Hey, Carl? Great video as always, sir. Why do you prefer the HNW Last to the 55 Last when choosing PNW boots? Do you not need that much arch support or heel height? How do the two differ when it comes to your posture and overall back, knee, and foot fatigue at the end of the day? Happy New Year, man!
What a beauty! Had a feeling it was a Panerai but could never get a good angle on it. I love mine (steel, not bronze) and hope you love yours as well. And it’d be fun to see it mentioned in a video.
Great video. I got vintage carolina engineers because they're more affordable and wondered why anyone would spend that much money on engineer boots. Then I saw this video, not only is the leather much better, but they had quadruple stitching. I mean my dear G-d that is quite a boot. It literally is as good as my pair of hoffman powerlines. Much love and hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Me being jewish, I had chinese food and a movie with my parents and my loving aunt ordered a vintage Woolrich Mackinaw as a Channukah present.
Happy Channukah my friend! Sounds like you've got an aunt with great taste- what color did you get? Regarding the Mister Lous, I know it gets much more expensive than these and I dont see much that justifies a pair of $1,500 or $2,500 engineers compared to them. Refinement and special materials are usually what you get, but I LOVE these boots and dont see it getting much better. Enjoy the Filson! I hope this year brings you much health and happiness.
@@CarlMurawski Red and black plaid. And on your advice I asked for a woolrich not a filson. It's actually from the late 40s based on the label and the pocket layouts.

Yeah man, I have a drawer of stuff like that... its becoming a problem.
Love your videos. They have great information and they are very really done. Keep it up and going.
Another great episode!! Thank you
Always a pleasure to make these!
Thank you for the content. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience.
My pleasure!
the ax carrier is sweet!
Love the Mr. Lou’s. Wearing my pair today.
Theyre awesome!

Its the only way to fly! I'll do an updated EDC soon bro. Thanks for watching!
i keep thinking of getting a mister lou but that wait time is killer
Yea 18-24 months! lol nah
I know dude.... second hand is the way to go. I waited two years for these.

A cap toe tanker boot would be awesome! I love the look of a teacore tanker but have always wanted to see a cap toe on it!
Damn... now I do too!
Great video ! Interesting stuff!
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for watching!
Carl I love you but are you telling me that you used a razor blade as a fork to eat ur lunch?
I do this all the time - like a real man😂😂😂😂😂
Hahahaha certified badass! Just kidding, the fork side isn't sharp... but I might tell people it is now!
@@CarlMurawski haha good to know. Thanks for the reply.
Can’t take my eyes off ur top man, looks cool.
Man I could’ve used a edc organizer like that for a long while, especially for pocket knives and my handkerchief (runny noses are a pain in my neck)
This little thing has been so handy, I cant even explain. My wife calls it my man purse... which is entirely different than a prison wallet.
@ I would call it a handy dandy pouch, cause we all know what it’s like to have full pockets that sag or even poke us when we try to sit or lay down

I wonder if that axe carrier comes in a TSA certified version?
They dont mind it as a carry on as long as your axe is sharp! lol
I really like that pouch
What is that quarter button-up you are wearing?
Those wesco boots look awesome! Everyone can use a edc pouch, even if it looks like a mini purse lol!! Awesome product reviews!!
Thanks bro. It's like a "mini prison wallet" 😂😂
@@CarlMurawski lol there you go!! How would you know what’s in a mini prison wallet?!?!? 🤔🤔😝😝 lol jkjk

Nice upgrade to the panerai bro!
Thanks dude!
What shirt are ya wearing there?
Thats a pullover from Heat Straps: ktku.co/iE
What pullover is that?
Hey carl, really like that green shirt you wore this time. Mind sharing what it is?
Absolutely! It’s the heat straps pullover. Link in my pinned comment if you want to check it iut
@CarlMurawski your the man carl
What’s that shirt you’re wearing?
It is a cute little purse! 😂
Also where is Albert? Hope he is doing well.
Hey hey, dont insult my purse!!! lol You will definitely see Albert this year.
@ haha no insult I want one too. I love Big Idea Designs!
Carl is the kind of guy who collects "pieces of flair" for his pencil case 🙂
If 12 pieces of flair are enough for you, well.. okay. But some people choose to have more and we encourage that.

Lovely bronze watch you have there, panerai?
Yeah man, I picked it up secondhand. Circa 2019 bronzo.
great axe sheath but the plastic zipper looks weired compared to all brass fittings
Haven't even watched this whole thing yet but what is that fleece you have on??

you should add a strap to that pocket pouch so you can wear it around your shoulder. 🤣
Hahahahaha I should do that just to get some laughs!
@CarlMurawski how much storage space do you have at home?😂

Never use one boot to push on the heel counter of the other boot to force them off.
It ruins the back of the boots.
