Gotta be honest its been one of the best mid season ending in your series so far and i have to say the cinematic scenes were amazing and i've got to be honest as a cast member on the opposition i can safely say the destruction of both bases is not something that was previously discussed by either side it was spur of the moment idea and for me as a viewer and once again a cast member it was amazing to be a part of.

@@Hanover-ky4hc even still i understand where your coming from but with that being said both teams are off to space which means they will be completely unused. at the end of the day both teams lost a lot resources and ships in the battle. we will be back on an equal playing ground once out in space.
@@Hanover-ky4hc genuinely i knew that the station was en-route but what i will say is LSG plays the cards close to the chest we don't have a clue what is planned for our team but i know with LSG and Jack it is going to be something pretty cool all i can say is each side when it comes to the plot of the story of Colony wars there is almost zero Scripting within the series and to be perfectly honest it is almost like playing on jacks patron survival server with only 2 factions in place and a lot less players. P.S. hell yea that is my girl Luna

I have seen A LOT of comments about the ending with the drone fleet being destroyed by plot, but honestly if I'm not mistaken the plan was to have both teams go to space for season 2, and probably delete the planet bases and ships to reduce the lag, so at least we got to see a cool cinematic destruction sequence NOTE: I support the drone team, and want LSG to win, I'm just acknowledging that the planet stuff would be deleted anyway,
Like, I get that. But couldnt have they just "left it there" and not "blow it all up, because we planted one tiny charge"

First off I want to say well done to you jack and all involved! Cinematics were on point and really captured the intense feeling of the battle. Sad to see the the defenses being removed and the base destroyed but we will have our revenge weather it is on land or up in space!👍

I think the guns were firing it’s just the server was so laggy the shooting animation didn’t show since there are a lot of guns on the Dawnbreaker

Should make a armed/armored fighter with drills that comes up from underneath or through the opposite side of an asteroid for a sneak attack and call it ' The Miner Inconvenience'
The dawnbreaker should have been classed as a dreadnought or something. That thing really took a beating and I was rooting for the thing the whole way. Reminded of war of the worlds with the Thunderchild facing off against the tripods
I would say that it's a capital ship, as it was way better armoured and armed than the drone's dreadnoughts

I disagree, from the moment it was finished and it was up in the air, I could pinpoint AT LEAST 2 big week spots on it, the first being the under side, as the big guns could not turn/swivel around to fire and 2 is the back thrusters, they where the biggest week spot on the ship as they had the least armament's to defend them. Also now that I remembered, the down thrust pack after it got taken out, the dawn breaker just fell to the earth like a brick, which it was. Also the grin reapers, whilst less armed, where much faster and where able to just do a run and gun of the Dawnbreaker, which they did. Whit that bit out of the way, I still think the end bit is shit ON BOTH SIDES
Every ship is gonna have weak spots and stuff, that is just how it is. I think it was rather thematic all things considered. The whole point is to make it feel like the drones are inexorable and relentless, running is the only option
@@hammer1349 The Dawnbreaker reminds me more of Battlestar Galactica, when humanity does the suicide mission of ramming the ship into the Colony.
That's a lot of plot armor, drones won pretty hard there.
The explosive charges at the end seemed a bit too lame for me.
Not enough to get revenge on the Dawnbreaker :(

100/10 this is my favourite series on UA-cam can't wait until next year!
I really enjoyed this season in regards to how it felt with the two factions. Much more than when Aaron just threw more and more junk at you last season.
My one major criticism for it is that the balance was very much off. RWI had predominantly RP and design focused players, and that really hurt you in the long run. Plans kept changing so many times, every project took ages (i.e. the dawnbreaker). Meanwhile, the drone faction had all the driven, efficiency-focused players, and that led to their massive buildup in firepower and infrastructure. This was a war RWI could never win, because the factions had totally biased methodologies. Next time, I'd advise a better balance of player types, though that'd be hard to quantify. Players like craz and venom take the same approach you do, Jack. Y'all may better split up next time to make things more even.
Give craz to lsg. Will do more internal damadged than the lag machine ever did or hoped to do

Jack I think you might need to rethink the composition of your fleet however. You have an amazing ship, the dawnbraker, which is well known to the drones, but as we have seen you need to support it. The gunboats aren’t bad don’t get me wrong but I think they might be of use somewhere else. Instead some more middle-sized vessels like the drones have would be far more effective. Maybe in the long term you might have multiple dawnbrakers and a large capital ship like the carrier as the flag ship of the fleet! Keep up the good work and bare in mind this is only a constructive suggestion
Just when u think kack will win.....Jack u need to not rely on 1 ship (dawnbreaker) amd make like 3 medium size ships to combat lsg see u in space

Like I said before Jack... You guys need to have a easy but good destroyer / corvett class ship. Easy to build in mass. And easy to custom per pilot / owner. That was the secret of the Drone army. They had a easy but strong ship. That could be mass producet in no time. And as you have seen. It rekt you completly. PS Totaly in love with the cinematics. But you can learn a bit from the guys ad Neebsgaming. ( I know its bad to promot others. But its to help you. )
Jack wish you the best with the second part of the Colony wars series... But considering what Aron has for his space ship... You guys are gone get rekt if you dont have a simpel easy to produce but good ship ad hand.
It was sad, watching the final fate of the Dawnbreaker. Hell of a good ship you guys made.
On an unrelated note, I know I ragged on the idea of relocating to space in the past, but even I have to admit that having your base's shit completely wrecked is actually a damn good reason to pick up sticks and set up shop where the enemy can't get to you.

You should rebuild some hydrogen versions of the dawnbreacker and rebuild at the old colony base
I agree 100% the dawnbreaker has become an icon at this point, I really want to see another version, it was a magnificent vessel. I just wish they had not focused so much on the Gunboats which were too frail even for escorts.
Those things weren't really escort ships. They should have probably been reclassified as strike craft considering the way they used them (plus the way they were designed.)
@@Zachomara I think the only role they could be effective in would be as a long ranged support with those heavy lasers but even that wouldn't have been too great, in prinzipal they were pretty much on par with the flying laser plattform the drones build at one point just with some defence against small attack craft.
Suggestion: take the blueprints of all the ships of the drones and the colony team and do a death match? (Creative).

Nice job jack gotta say it seems the two teams have two different outlooks one team RWI build one great battleship and some gunboats and the DRF builds a bunch of light gunned small corvettes.

Edit: I'll admit, I posted this comment before I finished the video. Since you're flying out, and all previous bases have been destroyed, I'm curious to see what comes next! I'm certainly looking forward to it!
It may just be a plot point, but it seems to me that one advantage that the Drones have is that they have one base, while you have two. By having one, they are able to focus all their building and defenses at one location, while you are having to focus on defending two bases. And since you focused all your ships to defend the Original Base, it left the Second Base completely exposed. Like I said, it may just be for plot development, but if not then I'd suggest scrapping one and taking all its resources to the other.
the dawnbreaker put up a hell of a fight, seriously, *all* of your weapons were on fire and it still flew! withstanding vulcan turrets and bofa bullets, constantly being pounded by them and survived 10 seconds coming extremely close to succeeding in a last ditch effort ram! if that's not a well designed war ship, i don't know what is.

That last part where you guys go for the last stand, I have been watching both yours and last stand gamer's at the same time and one of them commented how it looked like the dawn breaker was a pathetic dying animal. These vids are awesome!. Its even cooler seeing both sides.

if your plan is to rendezvous with your old station, i suggest upgrading it to account for the fact that the enemy still has an untouched battleship available to them. just a tip

This comment is posted way past this episode. Currently the 9th ep of the sequel just came out. I watched this series through the end, and coming back to watch previous episodes is very fun to do. The only downside to this is there is no Scotsman flying impossibly fast towards a downed ship screaming to the top of his lungs,"SALVAGE!!!!!!!" Then I go back to where Castle is in the series yelling at Craz about the Waffle Iron.
So much hard work on that ship, all undone in an instant
The music choices the amazing plot twists the awesome ending this series is better than most movies made nowadays and is truly and epic series
my god that fleet approach your main base was so scary, perfect cinematic and the music together with it all lovely episode!! I really felt bad when it all came crumbling down extremely heroic
23:14 wow it is a fast ship, but anyway there is one thing certain...
The biggest battles is not on a field of war, but rather some researchers in purpose to gain upper hand on the enemies by the terms of technology advancements, so maybe the bestEST way to gain upper hand is to 1. research new techs so you will be protected in a bubble or be able to hide behind the mirrors, 2. Balance the things you build in terms of speed, durability, firepower, maneuverability and reliability (i guess, but put more to speed if nessecary) and 3. Bring in smaller but more powerful turrets (because bigger =/= [doesn't always equals to] better) and build your ships symmetrically so both sides of your ship is balanced, because the ships you built are so far from symmetry, except for the gunboat that acts as support ship for the dawnbreaker

Great episode, the whole time is just me watching and sititing at the edge of my seat, just saying "dont lose the dawnbreaker" over and over again. Sad to see so many ships fall but hey, better in battle then in accidents. Hope this isnt the end. If its the end of this series then i cant wait for the next. Not gonnna lie, this is the best ending for a gaming series ever, cause we didn’t know who would win and we all expected jack to win. But because it was unscripted we got what we did not expect. So yeah.
